I have a 23 Inquisitor and a 28 defiler.  I've settled on a healer because I like helping people and I get a bigger rush from saving people than doing big damage.   Now I have to decide between the two.  I love wards and my dots on the defiler allow me to cast and forget once I have 3 dots on a target.  However, he feels a bit passive soloing (no complaints grouping) My inq seems more like a caster to me, which I prefer.  I'm not big on melee so i was looking at the int line and really would like to do the undead line but it seems like nobody uses it.  What about the str line for the focus?  Also, what does an inq bring to the game and to FUN that a defiler doesn't?  Thx in advance Azzarel

I've also got a defiler and an inqui (70 and 34 respectively), and while I still prefer my defiler in terms of play-style and healing power (save the flames please), the inqui beats her in one important way: sheer bloodyminded sadism. I love tossing Devotee's Retribution and Retaliation on a mob and watching bad things happen to them. Plus, she looks dead sexy in plate. SMILEY As for the AA lines, Int-Str seems like a good choice for soloing, but Int-Agi would be better for grouping. Personal choice of course. Wis actually comes in handy in places like LP and Unrest.

From reading your post, it sounds like Defiler is the class for you.

It seems like you prefer wards (Defiler) to reactives (Inquisitor), don't care much for melee'ing (For DPS'ing and solo'ing, most Inquisitors primarily use melee.  Defilers are more spell-based), and don't care much about solo'ing (which is one area Inquisitors hold an advantage over Defilers, at least in terms of speed).

There are some things about defilers that just tick me off. I love the dots, however pois/disease resist is high on most people. Blame harm touch. The dogdog you get is just. . . ugh. I wanna slap it. And . . . they look ugly in chain >.>

You know, you should look at a fury. They stand in the back and nuke / heal. No meleeing, and great nukes + dots. Warden is just like inq only in leather.
