![]() I just did a search on google on "netgear CG814WG everquest" and found this: http://portforward.com/english/rout...G/Everquest.htm Now that page doesn't specify if those ports are for Everquest or Everquest 2 (might not be different anyway). |

Ok I did the whole static IP and forwarding thing, it patches the game up but then it says, while trying to get me to the game, "Trying login server #1" and then it goes up to 2, 3, 4, etc. Now what did I do wrong? Are the servers on their end down or something?

Well before I could log and get to my character, but then was kicked. I assumed the servers were down, its happened before where it just says "Login server #1...2...3 etc." and the servers were down, I am just making sure its nothing on my end. I think when the servers get back up I did it though. Hopefully at least.

*sigh* It didn't work. I did everything the link told me to do and it did nothing, still messing up like before. Also when it kicked me off the game before it went back to the character select screen, for some reason it did that "Trying login server #1" again, it went through though, but still it stopped for a second to do that.

The tech support says to post your information for help. It has been said that this is a port forwarding/triggering issue. However, if you look at the number of people who are recently having the exact same issues, it can't be that isolated an incident. I find it incredible the number of people who are suddenly having the same issue being told it's their router set up. There can't be that many folks who all of the sudden changed their information at the same time to get this error.

It most certainly can happen via ISP and unfortunately, there will be more experiences of these type of issue's as service provider's upgrade equipment through-out the Internet back-bone for many years to come.

Ok so for over a week now I have had the problem where I log into the game, then get kicked back to the character select screen. So I opened ports, tried to make a static IP, which Time Warner won't let me do as a residence, I did so much and the guy from Time Warner just left my apartment after putting in a new gateway. And it still doesn't work.I am really getting mad, I have no idea where the solution to the problem is at, I don't know what is wrong, it has to be possible to play this game on this computer and this gateway, I have done it before on my other one.

Can you please provide me your IP address? You can locate your IP address by doing the following: 1. Click on START and click on RUN.2. In the RUN command, type "command" on the OPEN line. (If you're on WIN XP/2000 type in "CMD", and click ok). 3. At the command prompt type "ipconfig", and hit enter. Your IP address should then appear. Example IP: 64.32.146.191
