I don't know how many players are able to afford the new mounts, but the stats that these things have are...terrible. With me being an SK, I had to purchase the Nightmare simply because it's the closest thing out there to an SK mount. Still, the 200 to all resists, 8% speed increase over a 2 hour carpet quest, and 9P difference is disheartening. Not to mention the fact that Guild level 40 takes a looong time. How about including the stats from the Maj'dul horse, increasing resists by 300, and upping the speed bost to 52%? The conditions to get this horse are extreme and everyone that's able to afford it should have all of the benefits that come with it. I'm fairly sure only the most hardcore/loyal people will actually be able to get these. Reward us with something more appropriate please.

With the 5 pages of posts I see here already, I haven't taken the time to read everything, but I just wanted to post here and thank the dev's for listening to the 300+ feedbacks I have sent asking/pleading/begging for some sort of agro reducing spell for wizards! I just wanted to thank you for listening!

Which of course, reminds me why those channels are permanently turned OFF on my chat windows, and oddly enough, I didn't hear a single complaint all night, so I was able to enjoy the evening  (apart from taking a little while to thump on drums) SMILEY

Note that my wife just got her response to her petition about the SOGA bug in LU 18 and got this response from the in-game CSRs: "Thank you for contacting Sony Online Entertainment.  GM Arany here.  I understand that you set SOGA appearance for your char. but you found out that it did not appear how it was set and you want to either reset the SOGA appearance or have the old look back.  I am sorry to hear that you had to come across such a situation. Please understand that the SOGA option was available for only a certain period of time and it has ended." In other words, SOE customer support is telling us "Yeah, sorry you had to have your character appearance WRECKED by our bugs, but you're stuck with it so buck up and eat ****" Ah... the vaunted SOE emphasis on support and customer satisfaction.

My feedback (completely flame free!):

  • Swashbucklers lost a lot of DPS in this update- situational and otherwise. I don't like this or understand why it was done.
    • Inspired Daring now only procs in the main hand, making it do half of it's prior damage, which is now less that I can do with normal combat abilities. Really disappointed with this, since it lost most of it's situational usefulness. It's now relegated to being used only once my other abilities have been used.
    • Poisons only proc now in our main hand attacks, meaning they again do half the damage they used to. Why? What I don't get about this is that you had just increased their proc rate in a previous Live Update. Now we're nerfing them? Why not just revert the previous update instead of cutting procs in HALF?
    • Hurricane also appears to only "proc" half as much as it did before - although this is hard to test. Given that this ability was previously cut in half, to have it cut in half again has rendered it a novelty, not an ability.
    • All three of these taken together add up to some really significant DPS losses. I have frequently been in situations where I needed to "turn the tide" of the battle by kicking off my big self-haste, Hurricane, and Inspired Daring and dish out some serious damage for the next 12 seconds. When it worked and we barely pulled something off this gave me a lot of satisfaction knowing that I had been able to contribute like that. With Inspired Daring and Hurricane both nerfed hard, I don't have this ability anymore. I can kick it up a notch, but it's about a third of what I could do prior to LU18. Frustrating!!
  • Great Quest updates
    • Really nice to be able to see the rewards for quests
    • The LORE for each quest starter is GREAT!!
  • Poisons/Potions no longer dropping when I die - TERRIFIC!
    • This is fantastic. Thank you!
    • Is there any chance when we mentor down a few levels, but still within the range of the poison we are using (Example a 54 mentoring a 51) - that the poison would not drop in this instance? There are nights when I burn through about 10 charges as we move around and mentor to appropriate levels, since I lose my poison each time. In my opinion, the poison should only drop when I'm mentoring down below the minimum level of my current poison. Or even better - the poison should stay on and SCALE to my new level! SMILEY
  • Searching for Food/Drink by level range - AWESOME!
  • Frostfell
    • The holiday content is really good - the design team has done a great job. (I enjoyed Halloween also.)
    • Snowballs are a lot of fun, great idea! Need to make the person who throws them say sorry though, not the one who gets hit. SMILEY
    • Need just a BIT more testing on these holiday updates if possible. They are great, but a few i's and t's don't seem to get crossed.

Thanks my feedback.

Within six seconds, he's got the mob's attention, with me using everything I have, except Sigil of Heroism.
My Clarion Cry is Master 1 and my Zealous Preaching is Master 2. Bearing in mind that the control for this observation is that my Brigand friend is the same Brigand I was using as my Amends target pre-LU18, and I only recently upgraded to Amends Master 1, so the majority of our experience pre-LU18 is with Amends Adept 3 (41%), just as it is today.
I just can't see a way that this can be happening, unless there is a problem.
What are your observations?
Etan, 60 Paladin - Antonia Bayle

As a Brigand, I can pull aggro from anyone, anytime, anywhere, no matter what, pre-LU18 or otherwise. Paladins are the hardest, but still 100% possible at any time, for me.

Our Distract/Baffle/Befuddle Adversaries line needs a proc rate increase of 5-10% to give us even a chance of not being #1 on the hatelist 99% of the time. Most Brigands compensate for this by holding back most of their combat arts or not engaging the target until it's at 50% or lower. Absurd for a melee class.

I've had this feedback suggestion on the Community Summit forums as feedback for the Brigand class for the last 3 Live Updates. To date, nothing has changed. Not much more I can do.

Additional Information:

Agra, understood.  My Brigand friend is very high end.  We group all the time.  This never happens to us.  Right now, I'm grouped with an Assassin with Adept 3 Murderous Design.  He's transferring 26% of his hate to me.  I have Amends Master 1 and am transferring 41% of his hate to me.  This is a total of 67% of the Assassin's hate going to me.  Guess what - he's pulling the hate off me.  And again, I have Master 1 Clarion Cry and Master 2 Zealous Preaching, which I am using.

What is going on?

Sareth,

This is your problem. Amends does NOT work with anyone that has a hate transfer buff placed on you or has a hate generation proc on them. I have tested this extensively (outta curiousity) with an over eager swashbuckler I know. The trick to keeping the aggro is to actually have him turn off his hate transfer and to NOT use skills that increase his hate (not by damage but by spell discription). I think you will find it hard then to lose aggro if you are playing in a sound manner. Its very rare for me to lose aggro to my amends target. The only way I lose it is if I get stunned or my taunts get resisted.

Taunt info:
Righteous Dash Master I
Amends Adept III
Clarion Cry Adept III
Zealous Preaching Master I

On another side note, I have found I never lose aggro the first 30 seconds of any fight no matter what DPS is in group IF I setup my hate transfer system correctly AND use my skills in the right order. Case in point, Cazels Mesa. I have tanked cazel dozens of times. I never lose aggro no matter WHAT dps is done by any other group members the first 30 seconds. I typically go in there with myself, an enchanter, wizard, templar, and 2 other DPS classes. Before I pull Cazel to kill him, I cast Sigil of Heroism. Then I use Rescue, all my taunts to include righteous dash, and finish by casting consecrate. This is all done in about 7 seconds. Then I just do damage attacks until he's dead SMILEY. I do have Sigil of Heroism Master I though.

Enjoy,

My Tellurian Avenger Master spell pet is now a Rock Rumbler looking thing and it cost me alot to upgrade it from the adept 3 version I had which is also a Rock Rumbler looking thing and looks exactly the same. Can someone please fix, cuz you wouldn't do that on purpose right?

I seriously dislike all the "new" artwork that was put in the game with this update. The new armor for the mages are ugly in my opinion, adn the stats are not better or mroe appro[riate than teh old stats, from what I saw, they reward me with a fairly close toon in stats and ability. All teh "holiday" items look cartoony and not appropriate for the game, the halloween stuff was much better implemented and blended. Finally the pet skins are horrible. I completely udnerstand redoing some of the necro ones since they had some redundancy, but teh conjurer skins for there pets were well diversified and people liked them. Please consider taking them abck to how they were before or give the summoner an ability to choose th skin of the summoned pet, so that as you level you get mroe and more options.

As a LvL 48 Conjurer I have two main issues with LU #18;

1. Since it's hard enough sometimes to get Adt 3 scrolls, the down grade of their models was very alarming. It seems that most of the Conjurers who are happy with these model changes have Master lvl pets. Even a good number of those players are not happy with these changes. There was notreally originallity with the conjurer pet changes. I'd really like some time paid to this by the art dept.

2. The earth pet is not holding argo on group mobs nearly as well as he was before this patch. The main reason I use the earth pet is because of his ability to keep mob groups off of me. I'm a mage I can't take too much damage and if my earth pet can't keep mobs off me I might as well use my other pets to kill the mobs faster. I largely team with other casters and the earth pet has been our tank. With this new patch we'll have to retire the earth pet and hope we can burn the mobs down before we die.

Taken from the 12/20/05 patch notes:- Temporary Pets (e.g. Conjurer's Roaring Flames and Necromancer's Ghastly Stench) will now cast their close-range AoE spell more often.Ummm, Ghastly Stench is a debuff, it doesn't produce a short-lived pet.  Was Stench of the Grave meant to be used as an example?

I didn't see anyone rightfully mention this so I will...again.ALL COMBAT ARTS ARE BROKEN! Every combart art with a lasting effect (stun, dot, debuff, etc) will land regardless if it misses or hits. So if I were to use a combat art that has a stun effect and I miss, it will still stun the mob. Or if a mob were to use a combat are that poisons but it misses me, I will still get poisoned. Now this can be pretty game breaking with certain CA's, Devastation Fist comes to mind, along with just any normal stun used properly with another fighter or 2, and I'm sure many others.Just please look into it and hotfix SMILEY

BUG: If Call Servant is used on Aery Stalker the ghostly armor vanishes and the pet is reverted to its pre LU18 form. (This is good news to some)

I just noticed that all you did with the Igneous Magi models is reverse the adept and master models. This makes no sense. The fire elemental look is much more advanced looking then the flaming gargoyle. Please change them back, so that my master has the elemental look instead of the silly gargoyle.

It's not a bonus to time /played, it's a bonus to total time your account is considered to have been active... For example, if your account had been active for 10 months before LU18, you would not have gotten the 1-yr rewards. After LU18, with 90 days extra added on, that account gets the 1-yr rewards. Also, you will get your 24-month reward after having an active account for 21 months, as long as DoF is attached to your account.

I know I have the water and it didnt spill. I did this on two accounts, the second being my wifes, at the same time and both had the same problem. Tried it agian this morning and got the same thing.

We can't advance to monk with this quest bugged. And I did /bug it ||||||| - quoting of somone sorry not really sure how to do this

Yes also having the same problem, been 19 for 2 days now first char to the game and this is very discouraging

I did a petition because the sylibant spell is not working for the coarcers. The GM told me it was working properly... How is that so? is supose to do between 222-270 points of damage at the master level, and is not doing 1 hit point when it lands.. how is that working properly? plus at the fallen gates, if you are fighting one mob and get aggro from a second one it says that you can not engage it.. and guess what? you get killed lol.. i died like 12 times yesterday in there.. What is going on  with this update? the most bugs ever.. please guys address this issues and by the way the 3 concentration slots to charm a pet is really bad (you dont see many coarcers around do you?).. On my conjurer (please return the old look on my pets and fix the rock pet to hold aggro) I only need 1 concentration slot.. As a coarcer we have group buffing abilities.. but if i only have 2 slots left how am I suppose to do much? thanks again and please Sony's team help us with this issues....

My feedback as a lvl 60 Dirge:

Implementation of the Frostfell event till now: Superb, With so much fun and lore and text to laugh about, I take the lag in QH for what it is. Perfect job!

Changes in armorlooks and petlooks: This is a hard thing, you cant keep everyone happy with new looks. Good thing about the lvl 20 AQ armor is that every class has its own armor now and therefore looks unique. Bad point perhaps the downgrade of stats. I hope the new looks for AQ will be the start of many more class specific armor in every tier.

Tier 6 food and drink has its duration increased: Nice

Loot from raids is now viewable for the whole raidforce: Nice

The RL can now easily reward loot to winning raidmember: Nice

(Now pls make it we can change players from groups without having them to leave the raid)

So all in all many good things with LU 18, but somehow SoE managed to put something in it that throws a shadow over all the fun and good content: The proc/poison change. People are not confident with the changes. It seems that the changes go much further than most of us thought it would be. So eventually, this change turned out to be a difference in the class-balance. And if there is one issue that is a hot-item its, class balance.

I don’t like the way our Cacophony of Blades was nerfed for 50%. I cant find a reason for it, but still other classes like swashie and assassin suffer far more from it.

All in all I am happy with this LU and the Frostfell event is just a superb idea and implemented well. Too bad it is overshadowed by the massive concerned feedback on proc/poison change. I think it would be a good thing if Blackguard could at least give more information on WHY this had to happen and even better if there would be a quick response on the feedback given on it.

But other than that, thumbs up for LU 18 and Frostfell event!

I am not sure if this was brought up, but I am trying to do AQ2 for Illusionist, and it was changed to kill some Shriekers in Ruins of Varsoon, at lvl 21, when they lvl 26 heroics. I think I will not do the quest for a while : p

My pet stance spells for my conjurer now have a 15 minute duration rather then the "until cancelled" duration.
Bugged it in the game, so hopefuly it will get a look.  Also, they are just the first pet stance spells, so Im not sure if the higher ones are bugged or not.

GREAT Update.

Frostfell is wonderful.

The new necromancer pet models are certainly better when it comes to the Undying Adherent line.    The 52 Diseased Servant is fantastic!

The Grim Terror Master I looks TERRIBLE.   I mean, come on, a dark red Lamia?   You can't even see the curves on her body or the detail in the strapped leather outfit because the red tint is so dark it obscures the model.    I think it's nice you gave Lamia to the Adept grades of this spell, but taking away a cool image from the Master I holders is a slap.

OK everyone, behold! Our new fixed pet models! I must say these are so much better than what was put in Live Update 18. Here is the new Aery Hunter: Here is our new kickass Igneous Magi (he certainly is flaming!): And here is our new Tellurian Myrmidon, hes a bit smaller but just look at the detail! I hope everyone is as pleased with these models as I am.

I know it's been said by fellow Conjurors in this thread over and over again, but I had to speak up about the LU 18 changes too.  I'm not gonna complain about the new looks of the pets.  To be honest, the only thing that bothered me was that the grape ape adept III (my favorite oldie pet) is now gone for that Lavastorm worm.  But as I'm level 53 now, this wasn't such a big deal to me. What IS a big deal though is how [Removed for Content] poorly the Mymiridion (sp) tank pet holds aggro now.  Granted, even before LU18, the grape ape was always way better at holding aggro.  Whereas the Mymiridion would lose it frequently.  Well, post-LU18... it's a joke.  I'll be mining in the croc caves of SS and will do my usual run past a mob of crocs towards a rock.  In the past, my fighter pet would immediately grab the aggro while I mined and the pet would do a fine job of fending off the mob, with me triggering Blazing Presence and throwing in the occasional AE.  Now, not only is my pet not able to pull them off me on the initial engagement, but without me even fighting the crocs back, it takes getting my health into the yellow before pet is even able to pull them off me.  He'll be hitting them and still, the crocs are attacking me (who isn't fighting back... as a test) like I have all the Hate in the world.  This even goes for BP being on when the initial encounter happens - which is just ridiculous.  Not only do they need to fix this, but they need to, in general, make the Mymiridion pet taunt better and hold aggro just as well as the rumbler 'grape ape' could.  And yeah, I'm not too upset with the new Aery Stalker pet look (then again, I don't have the Hunter yet, which looks totally lame).  But it should look less ghostly and more aery, definitely.  And we should get our choice of piercing vs. slashing back. Two other big things I have to mention: - I dig that you can now see what the reward of a given quest in your Journal is now.  But why can't it be linked, or examined?  Basically, right now, if it's an item, all we're looking at is a pretty picture of something we'd then have to look up on ogaming anyway.  If you're going to implement something that's supposed to serve as a judgement of whether or not a quest 'is worth it'.... how can we even judge if it's worth it if we can't see its stats? - And last, is something REALLY annoying which quite a few other people have pointed out.  What is up with the horrible loot that's been dropping in SS?  (it all seems to be geared towards tier 4 scouts).  Granted, I'm not complaining that there's not a ton of Masters dropping anymore.  If they have made those more rare again, that's fine.  But I'm talking about clearing out The Hidden Cache and then Stormfeather Roost in a a few hours one night.  This totalled killing about 8 Names.  And not one decent piece of loot dropped.  It got to the point where everyone in the group (low to mid 50s players) were declining loot b/c it was just vendor trash.  And mind you, some of the Names in Stormfeather Roost aren't so easy for that player level range. But last night just topped it off.  My guild did a two group raid on Meathooks.  The level 53 Epic 3x raptor in SS.  We had a level 60 tank, so it was an easy fight.  But that still doesn't excuse the fact that he dropped a Treasured item!!!  This item was so bad, nobody even stuck around to bid on it.  And five mins later, I saw one of my Guild officers offering it for sale to anyone via OOC.... and nobody responding. Mind you, this is the loot off an Epic!  This shouldn't be.  Anyway, that's my 3 cents.

Many thanks to the devs!  I saw today that they upped the stats on my ranger's new AQ armor.

Nice to see such an immediate response to our feedback.
