I checked and I still have my original guide.  Maybe it fits more....but back then they all needed a group or some friends to help.

I've just started doing the AQ's with a Monk friend. We were both level 20 when we started and here's my experience so far: AQ 1 Kill 4 Sabretooth Runecasters - Pretty easy as a duo. Plenty near Keep of Ardent Needle. Kill 12 Caltorsis Clerics - Easy as a duo (and soloable), Easiest place is near Fangbreaker keep. Magi and Knights appear to be placeholders. AQ 2 Kill 16 Hulking Stalkers - Pretty easy near Windstalker Kill 20 Plaguebringer Acolytes - As OP said triggered spawn. Reasonably easy with a duo and surprisingly doesn't take too long as 4-5 spawn at a time. Kill 6 Deafening Shriekers (Ruins of Varsoons) - This is where it gets ridiculous. This is a level 21 quest and deafening shriekers are level 26. They are orange to a level 21. I got a couple of guild mates to help. We had 26 Templar, 22 Fury, 21 Warden & 21 Monk - not an ideal group but we struggled and had numerous deaths from adds. Thankfully you only need 6. Wait for the shriekers in first tunnel to respawn. AQ 3 Kill 8 Feign Zombies (Stromhold) - Near the library, they are ^^^ or groups of 2 ^^ and level 23-24. Haven't killed yet but will need a group Kill 8 Strongboxes (Stormhold) - Inside the library and into next room they are grouped - similar to zombies. Again will need a group. We got lucky and basically followed a group into SH so had to only kill one skelly on the way in. Once we were in the library we unlocked back door to Antonica so we have easy acces next time. Hopefully, more to come...

AQ 4Kill 10 Restless Corpses (Crypt of Betrayal)Kill 20 Deathly Scarabs (Crypt of Betrayal)Kill 15 Forsaken Shrillers (Crypt of Betrayal)There are solo and heroic versions of these mobs. All are in same are and pretty easy with a group.AQ 5Kill 8 Dead River Knights (Thundering Steppes) - Follow dead river down and you'll find them with Dead River Manes and Swordsman. Keep killing and they will pop.Kill 12 Firerock Giants (Thundering Steppes) - Some solo, most heroic - group recommended.Kill 12 Mighty Griffons (Thundering Steppes) - Griffon field. Kill Griffons which are place holders. Did this with a trio mainly. 24 warden, 24 monk and 22 Ranger.Kill 12 Corpse Feeders (Thundering Steppes) - All along dead river - solo mobs.I think I gained 2 levels completeing this AQ. It took ages to spawn the mighty griffons and when trioing them you get good xp from each kill.AQ 6Kill 12 Sabretooth Fishers (Thundering Steppes) - Wandering around crater full of water near Gnoll camp in Griffon fields (loc. Harvesters and Foragers are placeholders. Shouldn't take more than a lap or two of the crater to get 12.Kill 8 Deathbone Berserkers (Thundering Steppes) - In pool in dead river (loc 130.28,-22.37,753.39). Grouped with deathbone knights and theurgists (summoners). Watch for wandering aggro and kill theurgists first.Kill 10 Rumblers (Thundering Steppes) - Found at end of dead river (loc 886.09,-16.28,1195.20). Granite rumblers found in nearby cave system also work. Rumblers in Rumbler Caves instance do not update.Kill named Griffon, Shadowdash (Thundering Steppes) - Auto spawns when you walk near rocks in griffon field (loc 1143.47,-1.02,72.64).Overall I quite enjoyed this quest series. Gained six levels whilst doing them almost exclusively. As written above pretty much every step requires a few helpers. We never had an optimal group but managed quite well. I'll post stats of new warden armour although I think they have been posted elsewhere.

As an update to the ridiculous AQ 2 step asking you to kill level 26 shriekers in VarsoonsMorticus wrote in this post that the step will be changed. Not sure what to though.
