Hello all,

I have recently dropped a Celestial Strike Master 1.  Not being a templar, and having never grouped with one, can anyone give me their opinions on the usefullness of this spell?  Do you use it often, and for how long through the leveling process?  Is this master 1 spell worth anything?  I see that it is a direct damage spell, do you use those often as a Templar?

I am trying to get a gauge of how much this spell is worth, any help you have would be great!

Thanks!

Sarabi

It's useful, but not class defining. I don't know that I'd pay much more than 20g for it. But that's just me. It depends on how rich I was at the moment. It would be neat to have. Especially for someone who solo'd more often. You may want to price it at 75g and slowly drop the price over a few days.

I agree.  Most Templars don't define their participation through DD spells.  That spell is useful while soloing but most healers I know don't solo as much as they group for obvious reasons . . . (now, don't flame this and I'm NOT saying we can't solo, just that we're better in groups).  Master versions of our heals would be worth quite a bit.  I'd probably pay 30-35 GP for Master Celes Strike, but then again, I'm not as rich as some other high-level Folks (I'm 29).  Now Master Supplicant's Prayer or Intercession . . . (wiping drool from chin).

I have Master I combative faith which rocks.  Usally does over 600 damage which is very nice.  Of course as mentioned previously, our job is normally to heal, not nuke.  That said, I would probably pay 80g for the celestrial strike spell.  Master spells are just amazing and its rather fun having them.  Of course a nuker in our guild was bragging the other day about doing 2500 damage with one spell (after the 300% damage increase patch).  Makes my 600 seem like nothing...

I saw celestrial stike master I for sale on Guk the other day.  Person was asking 1p but was in the opposite city so 1.4p which was way too much for me.

yeah, i'd NEVER play a plat for a Master DD spell (except high lvl spel perhaps).  for a heal spell?  you bet! but not for DD as a priest.  and my good buddy is a warlock.  he's doing 2-3.5K now after 300% patch.  insane!   we can't keep up with that, nor is it our roll.  hence my reluctance to pay more than 40GP or so for DD.

hehe what a paradox........people EXPECT us healers to keep up with damage done to our group, and on the other hand does people charge horrible prices for healer spells

People charge what they can get...unlike in EQ where clerics where really screwed (need expensive armor and spells), many classes in EQ2 are expected to do the same.  Just talk to a tank (armor and taunt spells).
