![]() OK, is there something that I am missing here or what? I have played my conjuror from one month into launch and I am very happy with it...... I have never cast The reason I say this is as follows: Biggest & fast hit sequence I can muster is Air Pet> Plane Shift > EV > BP/BA > Send in pet > Fire / Water Dumbfire pet > Fire / Water Dumbfire pet > Shatterd > Stun > Fire dot > DD > FW > Fire dot > DD > Stun > Shatterd/PBaoE if clear (45 sec aprox of our greatest dps?) > hit BP/BA again ...... Perferably with Pally Amends on the Air pet. But, near as I can tell, BP/BA wont hit if you are using the fire pet. Blazing Line states that it will proc 5 times if the pet hits in melee or is hit by melee. So are folk using Blazing and hoping that their fire pet gets hit? Or is the aoe damage from them really so great that you can afford to toss away 2500ish point of damage from levels 50-69 and what, 4500ish at level 70? By the way, I am really tempted to go for the stamina end aa just so that I can flip out an offencive stanced earth pet in raids and say no no, don't worry, he cant taunt, and then watch as he and the brigand are the only close combat DPSing survivors on a AoE heavy mob. Yah the Dumbfires can still poof on the hit, telling the swashies when they can joust back in is part of our utility right? That is part of why I have named him Ground, you know, it is what a lightning rod does. Editted to clarify that I mean in Raid and Group settings not in Solo settings: I understand that some folk have found solo uses for the fire pet as some resent screenshots seem to attest.......... ![]() BP/BA procs on a melee hit by mob, or a successful attack of pet, so it has the chance to go off on fire pet when it attacks the mob. Just happens a lot less than tank or air.

![]() BP, despite what the spell description might lead you to believe, does in fact trigger off the mage pet's nukes.

Hey Ymirr.I am one such raid guilded conjuror who exclusively uses his fire pet. Just gonna post the blaze line parse from a recent foray into Lord Vyemm's Lab:First line is total fight time, second is total damage, third is overall damage %age, 4th is hit rate, 5th is High hit, 6th is low hit, 7th is average hit.| Blaze | 00:45:12 | 222,943 |11.6% | 89.0% |1364 (1) | 551 (1) | 832 |I joust my fire pet and never allow it to melee since any aoe/ds will basically one-shot it, so I know those are BA procs from spells.Haven't used my air pet since 62, but the fire pet does very impressive damage. As for opening a raid fight with PS/EV/BA, I'd love to know which pally is placing amends on you and who is tanking because that is an awful lot of hate being generated in the beginning of the fight.

![]() You are not reading the spell correctly. While you are correct that the getting hit line is melee only, the other line states "On a successful attack" - note the lack of the word "melee"It DOES proc from every spell the fire pet casts. |

In fact, because Igneous X "attacks" slower, it spreads out the damage from BA/BP more evenly, thus not spiking damage as severely and drawing "burst" aggro.I find the Igneous line to be a superior selection in raid situations.Make sure you put points into the INT AA, it will help with the aggro.

![]() I pick my Fire pet (post-62) over my Air pet in all grouping and raids situation because it spikes less his damage when I use BP/EV, thus easier for Tanks to keep aggro, while keeping my DPS very high. Also, the 2nd Achievement in the INT line is a firepet deaggro, thus even less hate generated by the pet itself. Careful jousting of the pet makes dodging raids AoEs just that much more fun. The HP difference is insignifiant to me, as they both get 1-shotted by AoEs anyway. Fire can still do damage from afar. My Guild tanks have had a much easier time with me since I am using this pet. Combined with any from of self deaggro (Skywatcher robe for example), I will never be the one to steal aggro from the tank, yet my DPS is in the Top3 in every fight. All in all, I am very happy with my fiery fellow.
