![]() The spell line is two fold: Blessing of the Penitent casts a spell that over time will generate as you are hit, Penitent Essence, an inventory item that will stack 50 high. You will get a spell later called Penitent Sacrement (the counterpart). This spell will consume one of the essences from inventory and provide a significant heal. The upgrade to Penitent line is called Devout. The rest of the verbage is the same and the concept is the same, but it's a better heal. Thanks, |

Do the spell components for Devout appear in your inventory as well ? They haven't been for me since I got the upgrade. And I keep getting the message "missing component" when I attempt to cast it. The spell will not consue an Penitent Esscence.

![]() Let's run off a checklist for you: 1. Make sure your hotkey bar contains -> Blessing of the Devout (remove Blessing of the Penitent for now as they share the same timer) 2. Make sure your hotkey bar contains -> Devout Sacrament (remove Penitent Sacrement for now as they share the same timer) 3. With both spells on your hotbar, cast "Blessing of the Devout" It will show a shield icon on your maintained spell window. Verify the spell is active. 4. Seek out a mob that can hit you pretty easily--but don't die ![]() 5. If you fight a green ^^ mob with the spell cast, there's a good probability you'll be hit several times during the encounter which means there's a random chance an essense will be added to your inventory. 6. If you fail to find any after round one, find a single red mob that is within 4 levels of your level and repeat the test again. 7. If this fails, find a blue ^^ that will definitely hit you much more then the green ^^ and try it for a minute or too, yell for help and run away since you probably won't kill it solo--go ahead if you can 8. Check your inventory again--you should have some essences waiting. 9. If that fails, find a group and fight white or above group or ^^ mobs for about 30 minutes straight while ensuring the blessing is always active. If you still fail to have an essence, it's probably bugged and I would /bug and /petition the issue. In all honesty, I can cast blessing and loose track of it running for a bit and open my inventory and have a partial stack waiting. They are 10x easier to get then the old penitent line. Of course, they've fixed some things since I had the penitent line so hopefully they are easier to acquire now. I almost NEVER cast the blessing now unless I just want the buff soley because my inventory runneth over with essence and FAST! I carry one stack of penitent essence for mentoring and I currently have 1 stack of devout handy. Likewise, I have a single stack of both banked, but that's probably a waste of two good inventory slots. You used to be able to sell essences on the broker--probably still can so that might be an outlet to pickup some in the interim. If you are on Najena server, I'll be happy to donate a stack. Thanks,
