I think Ive seen this somewhere on the forums before but I cant seem to find it now...

My Question is,  How does Our Reactive Ward/Heal spell effect aggro?  For Example, if IM not the MT and Im casting it on him, does it increase hate towards me (the caster) or him (the guy Receiving the heal)?

 

Ive heard people tell me that it actually increases the hate of the person that it is cast on, not the caster,   just trying to confirm that

When you originally cast the spell (ie: you give your target the buff icon) there is a very small amount of hate: similar to any other buff you cast. When the reactive component triggers, the damage done and the damage healed are both counted towards the target of the spell. So if you cast one of these spells on the Guardian, when you run the fight through a parser the "Voracious Soul" is actually counted against him, not you. This leads me to believe that it increases hate with the target, not with the Shadowknight. This is, however, just my interpretation. Feel free to correct me if I'm way off the mark. It just seems the logical thing to me.

I'm with Huevos, although i just played it riskily to find out (random stuff in ToS, low risk), cast it on the pull a few times, mob never even flinched or looked at me.cast it just about every pull these days.

While I have accidently gained aggor due to a poorly timed cast of blessing, meaning on the pull before MT established aggro, it only happend like twice.  Once aggro is established, everything I've seen in my time and off parsers shows the damage and hate are going to the MT.

 

Its also why I think its a bad idea to cast it on a squishe that gets aggro, use either FD or intervene to try saving the dpser.  Blessing seems to increase their hate, so it can increase the problem.
