Dev's don't only browse the boards when they are working.  Also, Dev's can only comment about stuff when there is an official response, they can't comment on stuff under scruteny, but there is no reason why they couldn't make a 1 liner personal statement.  You're also not supposed to make threads that point to other threads.

Danged if they do and danged if they don't.

At least you know they are reading the forums.  Just because they don't reply to every fact driven post, doesn't mean they don't read it or take the information into consideration.

I agree with SheetMonk, cut them some slack. I'd much rather have a game designed by people who take some time out to keep in touch with the silliness of the game, and the lightheartedness of the community, than ones who obsessed over numbers like accountants.

Yes, SK players have some concerns. But so does every other class. If the devs came and put a post here, and discussed all of the SK concerns, there would be a post on every other class forum linking to the thread, and pointing out the perceived "favoritism" SKs were getting. It's beyond the scope of ability and necessity to keep a constant PR/feedback campaign going on every class forum.

They're definitely reading, paying attention, and carefully considering what people say. I've not seen a more dedicated and honest team.

Seriously, what a weird thing to get angry and post about. You consider the dev's to be your slaves? It's a game. Dev's not allowed to have fun? Really odd thing to get worked up about, imho.

You think posts like yours encourage them to work harder for you?

*cough* This is a game for crying out loud. Complaining about a Dev member taking three seconds out of his busy schedule to post in some funny thread is just... well, in my book it's whining and utterly ridiculous.

I honestly agree with both sides.

The devs are human, they need eat, sleep, laughter, play, work, love, hate, etc. they may be in charge of a large MMORPG thats possibly on a grand scale for a major company, but they are just common red-blooded americans who like to crack a joke or two, and who doesnt? I dont mind them jumping in and having a good time with their fans/audience/customers. its great stress relief and makes the customers feel closer to the game and the developers.

on the other hand, as much as they log on into the forums and post stuff that half the time has nothing to do with the game, you think they would jump into the the core forums (e.i class disscusion, spells/ablities) and say "hey we are working on that" or "ok we will take that into account" or even a "you can complain all you want but we are not changing that for this reason...."

we players are like little kids, we need support and guidance or else we feel lost. and right now I feel like an orphan:smileysad:

I dont need a solid answer, I just like a reply so I know im being heard.

Rylight, why don't you think you're being heard!? You've been in every thread where SKs complains and we've had two dev responses already. One time we were told that we're working as intended. The other time that we must live with our weakness. The message from Moorgard is pretty clear. If we don't like it, it's just tough. We must accept it or find something else to spend time on.

You might want to check this out again http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=gameplay&message.id=11584#M11584

I understand the frustration from people who love the class, but wants their SK to be different. It's too easy to tell people to play another class, when they really want to play SK. But fact is that they and the designers aren't in agreement. And the designers will always have the last word.

Wow, I have no idea why this would cause such an uproar.  God forbid if someone has fun.

As to SK's being in the dark and getting darker...

Honestly, I"m having more fun playing my SK more than any other toon I've created in my year+ in EQ2.  I've never been a fan of playing a plate tank, but this really rocks.

No class is perfect.  If there WAS a perfect class, there would be no reason to have other classes. And grouping would be unneccesary.

And as to the frogs... Go go Froggies!!!

I would have to disagree.  In the grand scheme of things, a Dev took oh, [Removed for Content] about 5 seconds to post that, get with it!  :smileytongue:   :smileyhappy:

actually sonnyA (and I realize were the misunderstanding came from) I was talking about all post in general, not just sk post but the entire forums as a whole, but because this is the sk boards I do see how you came up with this conclusion.
