Dr Arcana's overland 'kill quest' missions are random which mobs you need to kill.
Two people in the same group can get the same quest at the same time to kill different mobs.

While this may be a 'feature' and not a bug, please reconsider and at least have people in the same group get the same 'version' of the quest.

Additional note: His blue quest feather is visible from a distance but disappears up close.

It is random for everyone, group members included. Six players with the same 5 targets could potentially monopolize the zone. However, the sets of targets for each part are chosen from similar areas to help alleviate the run around when grouped.

If 6 members of a group have different targets they're going to monopolize the zone MORE then if every member of the group was looking for the same mobs. Because now they have to kill MORE mobs to satisfy everybody's quests.
example Everybody needs 5 each of mobs a, b, c, d and e. That's 25 mobs for the 6 people
If they each need 5 mobs, but split between a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, i and j.. that is50 mobs for the same 6 people.

Edit: Unless you're saying the kills aren't group updates?

Six members of a group having different targets is the same as six non-grouped members having different targets.

Kills should be group updates.

This is how the system will work.

The "Dramatis Personae" weekly mission quests are not marked as solo quests in the quest journal.
  • Dramatis Personae: Detroxxulous, the Plague Lands
  • Dramatis Personae: Doomfire, the Burning Lands
  • Dramatis Personae:Erylai, the Kingdom of Wind
  • Dramatis Personae: Vegarlson, the Earthen Badlands

Quest Doctor's Orders: The Earthen Badlans
Slay Korascian mudhoppers for their legs

I believe I searched the entire zone, including the two islands. However, never found any mudhoppers. Any chance this is a bug and they are 1. in another zone or 2 called something else?

Thanks

They're frogs. Look in the Muddy Lagoon, which is the southernmost part of the zone (-68, 18, 598), and I think I recall seeing some frogs on the Korascian Cliffs, which are just west of the Terrak temple (424, 51, 6).

Well the fix which I thought was a fix, wasn't. Will have to investigate further.

In Doomfire and Eryslai (sp?) I have had Dr Arcanna's book disappear when you get close as well. This was on 22 October and 23 October.

Looks like armor rewarded from these outdoor missions should be usable by your class. What are the names of the 2 pieces of cloth armor you received on your warden?

I did Dr Arcana's missions in two zones and both times my warden got cloth armor.
I'm guessing the armor is supposed to be of the type the finishing toon can actually wear?

Looks like the Charred Cloth Shoulders of Knowing was rewarded through the quest, Fuel to the Fire: A Turbulent Flame. The slippers were rewarded from the quest, Fuel to the Fire: A Chunk of Carbon.

Those quests grant random rewards, not necessarily usable by your class.

Okay, finally Dr. Arcana's feather should remain if he has a mission to offer. (Don't let me down Doc!)
