First off.....thanks in advance to all you fighters and healers that have 2 cents to throw in to this little conundrum of mine.  Believe me.....it is appreciated.

I have been looking through a lot of different forum boards for the answer to this question and yes I know that this is a highly subjective one to ask as one is liable to get all different kinds of answers.  That's good IMO, but I want to hear what any of you have to say on this please.

I guess I should begin by stating that I know that it really does indeed come down to the person behind the toon and not the class in and of itself, but I think this can really be a fair question to ask anyway since it will be for two people who really don't know that much about the strengths and weaknesses of the various healers out there (Qeynosians specifically.)

I will be playing the Berserker and my girlfriend will play the healer.  I have a 20 Bruiser now that is my highest and she has a 20 Illusionist on the same account but now that she has her own computer and account we want to duo together and occasionally pick up or join others in a group.  So.....what we are having trouble deciding on is which healer would be the most FUN (not necessarily the best) for a Berserker to duo with.

I've read lots of posts saying that Furies can be incredible partners in the end game but not necessarily through the early and mid levels.  Damage shields, spot heals, and all the utility stuff they bring to the table along with the ability to change forms is intriguing, but does it make a fun and viable partner?  What we don't want is to get to 20+ and start to realize we should have selected a better healer simply on the basis of not being able to heal effectively and consequently not having fun.  True.....wasting greens and light blues over and over is and always probably will be the best method for exp gain with just two people but we want to have fun in the end.

A lot of posters on the Fury boards though seem to hate the state of their characters.  They feel that they are underpowered in the healing department and don't really bring anything to the table and the end game.  They also seem to have issues with the large amounts of aggro that they generate because they have to spam their weaker heals to keep tanks alive.

Wardens seem to be better in that regard as their heals do appear to pack a lot more of a healing punch.  But will a druid class regardless of which class choice ever really be able to keep up with healing in the end?

Is a Templar fun?  It does seem that they make the "best" healers for the warrior class unless anyone cares to state otherwise, but do you find that the only thing a Templar does at the end of the day is just heal over and over over?  As good as they can be.....does that equal boring to you to those that play with this combo in the end?  Is DPS an issue with Templars?  Do Berserkers need to have a little something more offensively in their healers to help fight in the world?

And what about Mystics?  Are their wards and buffs enough to keep a duo churning and being able to do just about anything, anywhere, anytime?  Are they fun and a blast to group with?

We want to be able to NOT have to depend on a third person if we don't want to.  I love three person groups personally as I think that is a great number to go out and do things with, but I really expect the two of us to mainly explore and exp on our own and in the end it all comes down to fun though for us.  We want to be happy knowing we can do what we want together, go wherever we want, and have a good time and not say, "Geez, I wish we would have picked a different class of healer because we just didn't know any better."

So that good reader is why I am asking you to just say whatever you want to say on this matter.  I figure by asking in the Berserker forum I am most likely to get the answers from the people that really know what Berserkers go through and can help us to understand what we will face down the road.  I also understand that perhaps different healers are better within certain level ranges at certain times and that's cool too.  If we manage to get to 50?  Cool.....it's about the journey and the good times along the way that matters, but if a certain class just struggles along the way is that fun too?  Nah....not really.

So please.....if you can and are so inclined, we would love to hear your thoughts on this matter and we would both greatly appreciate it.  Thanks all and happy hunting.
