I recently just made lvl 20 on unrest(evil), and I'm a little confused on how I should go about tanking with my zerker. Should I be using focused rage when I tank? I know you take a defensive hit, but is the offensive advantage better in the long run? Also, is it better that I use a 2h/dual wield weap or a shield+1h weap? I've been experimenting but can't seem to do decide which is better. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also what specifically does intervene do?

![]() I think dual wield is better for us in any situations. Since you'd be doing a lot of damage, you don't really have to use taunt and still keep the agro. I find that whenever I'm not tanking I keep pulling agro from our main tank even when I'm really spacing out specials, so tanking is more smooth if I'm main tank because the mobs stick on me like glue. Forget about focus rage for now, and use blood lust later when you get it. Upgrade your soldier stance and get some jewlery with good + agility and you'd be fine at tanking.

nothing beats a single handed weapon and a shield for tanking. The only thing that comes close is DW with weapons that raise your agility. When I use 2 chicken banes (+4 agi) I become very difficult to hit so my health stays up almost as well as with a shield+one-handed weapon.
