As a soon-to-be provisioner with a preference to seafood... I'm hoping AGI might be a decent stat to gain from food.

It all depends on the actual bonuses. If STA winds up giving more HP than the +Health then it will be STA . . .

Very true. I too am curious as to the actual numbers. They have already stated that the food buffs wont be greater than those you can get from potions.

If they aren't at least equal I can tell you my L38 Provisioner won't even waste his time making them.

I'm going with the HP food over the STA food. Reading some of the threads I've found on it, the T2 foods offer +2 STA or +20 HPs. I'd get more HPs from the pure HP food than the + STA foods, IF they follow the same progression through the tiers. However, this is all a moot point atm, because 1.) your food and drink does not last through a death like it says in the patch notes and 2.) the stats are not listed when you examine the food. I will not be shopping for a specific type of food until they are both fixed.

Umm food and drink do last through death, I tested this personally, jumped off the yellow lvl in the Mages Tower in S. Qeynos.  I will be going with pasta...SMILEY STA>HP

I've died, med to full, then fought something else. After the battle, my regen is 4%. I can eat and drink something and fight something else, after that battle my regen is 8%. I'm not saying you didn't, I'm saying that it didn't work for me, so that may be an even different problem altogether.

That's odd, neither the icon or the effect stayed when I tried it.

From my experience since the patch, food/drink does indeed stay up after you die..but it clears out anything you had set to eat/drink when hungry/thirsty.  So after the current food/drink expire it doesnt auto start a new one.  I think thats why some are saying its not staying up.  They just notice it down a short while after they res or release.

I make myself a few different food types to carry around...mostly +HP or +POWER.   Ide say 90% of the time im using the +POWER food.  atm thats Cocolate Covered Candied Cashews.

You know I do too. I bought a variety of foods and figured Id be using the +Health, +Agi  or +Sta ones, but the stack that disappears the fastest is the power. 99% of my fights I end up running low on power way before I run low on health and that extra bit of power is the difference between getting off 1 more CA or not and possibly saving my butt...
