[BUG] Reimbursing Primal Velium Shards

I was sure my 2 focus red adornments came from Paineel merchant from last expansion.

So I tested again, noting how many Seal of Arad I had and how many Primal Velium Shards and purchasing 2 extra red focus adornments from Kal`Jeketh, Mercantile Court in Paineel ( 1681, -282, 3444 )

Upon copying to test_copy, all my red adornments on the gear and the 2 extra purchased in paineel with 5 X Seal of Arad tokens, reimbursed me with DoV 10 X Primal Velium Shards

this needs to be fixed before going live!

Is it wise to post the mechanics of a bug that could be exploited? Perhaps this should have been a PM?

Devs ask for testers to volunteer their time to outline each and every bug they encounter for the sake of creating a better game. When we testers find a bug, we're expected to report it to them so they can fix it. Although there are options in game to report these, it's much easier for everyone to create written reports that can be reviewed and resolved as the time allows. This is the purpose of the In Testing section of the forums.

Now, Kuulei found a bug that may be used as an exploit. I stick up for the testers, and do believe that they just wanted to report it as we were asked in these forums so that they may be resolved as time allows. This is so that the bug does NOT become live, and therefore used as an exploit.

I certainly don't point fingers at the test people. They report. In spite of that.. things go live.

Most times.. it is minor. Or can be worked around.

However.. the last time an adornment reimbursement that was wrong went live.. thousands of plat were made by people with foreknowledge of the mistake.. I know of one person who crafted the adorns in question for 12 hours straight before the mistake went live.

I don't know of any game, any place, that encourages posting of bugs that would allow massive in-game profiting.

I was not insulting, just making a suggestion.

the bug i found was a lil different and concerning the fallen swords quest reward adronment merchant..

go buy an adronment and see what happens all i can say is LOL

This is one of the reasons why we were dismayed to see the Testers Only board turning public. That was the place to post exploits in.
