![]() I was actually looking foward to seeing the new eq2players webpage. I figured with all the time and work thats been put into it, that it would be awesome. Boy was I wrong! Its really not much better then what we had a couple years ago. I'm very disapointed with the layout and the inability for me to select my other characters on the character list. I'm not interested in what my lvl 4 wizard has, I am more interested in checking up on my lvl 90 characters. Guess I'll have to keep getting my character info from other webpages like Eq2u. Once again SoE, you have disappointed me by the release of something lack luster and poorly planned. Raizing |

![]() I had no problem selecting any of my characters from the list using IE8. The site is still in beta it even says so, that said I like EQ2U better.

![]() I also prefer EQ2U. Seems like EQ2Players focused more on eye-candy than actual functionality and accessibility of information. Too many clicks required to reach most character info, as a lot of screen space is wasted on things like those graphbars - they look nice in a Powerpoint slide showing what the designers are going to work on, but in daily use they provide little usefulness. Too much efforts were put on the eye-candy factor IMHO. Those slide-down/slide-up actions I saw while playing with the site are pretty confusing when you are trying to focus on actual data. |

![]() Agreed, when looking at my characters data and kills I see no need to have a bar-chart, much less one that is elastic and animated as it displays.

![]() Yes agreed, it has a long way to go to be of any use. I do have to admit that I am suprised they got eq2players up and going before the collaps of the game, a long with the crumbling of the sony empire. I for one am just glad to see any progress besides coming soon or the team that was working on it is now on other projects. My guess is it will be another year to six months before they touch it again. Thank You SOE for your 5 min. a day for the last couple of years to come up with this |

![]() It is worse than the buggy thing they took down a few months ago. Their menu system stinks and so does the poor way they use data. Thankfully there are data feeds for other sites, because the people working on this have no idea what a good function site should look like. But that was obvious when watching the video they did right before EQ2U launched. |

![]() i like the site. i just wish it had the old tracked info in addition to its beta functions. (im not necessarily asking for wealth data-that can open players up to being targets of hacks) but i really liked the other stuff. esp discos. I really like the compare function. I joined a guild recently and i was able to compare my gear and stats to a current guild member of the same class just to see how i stacked up while considering content they were killing and if i could pass the gear check. the visual display was very helpful, but then again im a visual learner. i really dont need to know what gear i have, when im logged in i can just open the character window, and when im not logged in its 'less important' anyway. there is a use for that, but eq2wire has that niche covered, so im not missing out any which way. |

![]() Things I like:
That's about it.... Things I don't like:
Also, why do i have to log in to view anything? If I want to look another player up, let me look them up. Why do I have to log in to do this? Seems silly. Edit to add: When are these forums going to pull from those feeds? I'd love to not be on the Unrest_old server, and just be on Unrest....

![]() If this new eq2players was the result of 1500 manhours of work, you need to fire all those folks and find someone else to do it. |

The site you're looking at was a very small portion of the time spent. Most of it was spent on databases. I do agree though that they should get rid of the doofus that designed that interface or at least not let them work on the interface anymore. |

![]() Can anyone of you direct me to the link for the new eq2players site? I am an old school player looking to get back into the game on a casual basis, and was interested in seeing what my old characters were outfitted with. Thank you, Vin |

![]() http://players.everquest2.com - however characters that haven't logged in the past few months won't show up on it. |

![]() I much prefer EQ2U. EQ2 Players was a giant disappointment. Where are the discoveries, the recipes known, quest counts, etc? And like someone else mentioned, sometimes I don't want a comparison, I just want to look up another character. The way they explained things in the webcast was that if I chose not to have some characters visible the public couldn't see those, but I still could because I was logged in and that was my account. That doesn't work either. |
