Can someone please tell me where and/or how you get the Prismatic Weapon Replica Crate? I found the item listing on ZAM but there is no information on it, eq2wiki doesn't even have it listed and google search's are no help =(

I think the thing is that ZAM gets the full feed of anything ever existed in the game, but just because they itemized something doesn't mean that its something available.  It could be something they are still working on, something tried and abandoned, something waiting for release, or something that has yet to be discovered by players.  I remember scanning the old EQ1 Lucy database to see when new entries showed up in the data stream, hoping to get hints of upcoming items/spells/changes.  Unfortunately you could never be sure what those new entries would be, or if they would ever go live.  It would be nice if there was a flag to indicate what items are "live".

Yeah, ZAM has a lot of items that exist in the database but have never actually dropped in-game. Run a search for mythical items some time, there are pages of so-called Mastercrafted weapons made from various important-sounding materials which have never actually existed.

There's an Earth Runed Weapons Crate on the marketplace now. I'd say it's safe to assume that the Prismatic Weapon Replica Crate will also appear either there, or in LoN.

Or just go back and get your actual prismatic weapon?

Except that (I assume, I haven't looked it up on Zam) that the Prismatic weapon crate would contain every possible prismatic weapon.  And since I also assume that since they would be appearance only, that one could equip one that normally isn't for your class.

And sure that's easy for people who are 90th or even 80th to just do the series solo.  But although there's not too many, there's still people who are new at the game and/or just take their time levelling.  For them, that's easier said then done.  Either one needs to find a raid if one is only 50th or 60th to do it or to be led around by a 90th and let them do all the work.

So really, you are wanting easy mode for something you can't quest for (or haven't because of available grouping options)...

I take my time with every single one of my toons and really do understand where your coming from in regards to trying to find adequate numbers for certain zones...but...

It may just be my opinion, but simply buying a replica appearance of an item that takes quite a lot of effort to obtain, is just a sad work-around to fool people into thinking you completed the questline...

Sorry, just my 2c's

Ah yes, the "easy mode card" got pulled.  *insert eyeroll*.  More what I call "more uber then thou" mentality I see.  SMILEY

NO...that is an amusing way to twist my words, but no I'm not asking for the easy mode.

I ALSO take my time with all of my characters, thank you very much.  Please don't imply that I don't.

ALL I DID is 1)  Explain what I assume such a crate would contain and 2)  Point out that it isn't as easy as when the cap was 50th or even 60th to find a raid willing to go do the series.  YOU decided to jump to assumptions.

So for people that honestly try to find a raid to do the Prismatic line but honestly can't, or for people that see no point in doing a gray questline at 90th this does provide an alternative.  That doesn't mean they are the sort who automatically demand everything be done "easy mode".

As an aside, assuming a duplicate prismatic can't be bought from the Shady Swashbuckler on the Nek Forest docks, this ALSO lets someone who somehow lost their original prismatic have a duplicate.

Finally, if you are so worried about someone wearing a fake prismatic, you can always inspect them if you see one.  Me, I wouldn't worry about it.  Either they did the quest, or they didn't.  I know what I HAVE done personally and that's all I personally am worried about.

Anyway, so really your apparent "more uber then thou" knee jerk reaction caused you to jump to conclusions.  Oh well.

Sorry, just MY 2 cents.  SMILEY

Although I have yet to see mythical items crafted, there were once (long ago before LU 13) tradeskill items that dropped off of raid mobs to make extremely rare crafted gear, most of which was fabled.

The star sapphire and star ruby jewelry comes to mind. Also, the glazes for weapons.

Most crates are going to be Station cash items from what I have seen. Some have been drops or quest rewards, but I would venture to guess it would be a station item.

I am pretty sure these mythical crafted items have never been available in-game by any means. In fact, the only mythical items I can ever remember seeing before Kunark were Artifacts. I think these particular mythical items were abandoned versions of the Fabled crafted items you mentioned, as the stats are similar. I admit to not being a fan of tradeskills, especially in the era of inter-profession sub-combines, so I didn't even remember those things existed.

I'd like the Prismatic and Claymore items to be on the shady swashy to purchase for appearance. The same with the Soulfire.

What I don't want to see is them appear on station cash. Somethings do need to be earned.

That's BS. A year or two ago a GM reimbursed my "Makoto's Bo Of Striking"--the reward from the Monk subclass unlock quest--which I had sold like a month after launch. And I was very grateful to have that memento back. Submit a new ticket and request a CS rep who isn't lazy.
