![]() Tradition says today is THE day when I could ask a man to marry me...*cough*. Anyway, on to more interesting things... In honor of Leap Year, we have put Leapers and Gliders on sale in the Marketplace! We thought it seemed appropriate... I just got out of a design meeting this morning where we discussed the poll results. Not only have the results spawned other questions we want to ask, but we are committed to look deeper into the data. My point is, the polls are not for naught! I'll let you get a jump on your day... ![]() Holly, Please post concrete news about finished-and-ready-to-be-tested-soon content. It's what we care about most. Thanks! Irving

![]() Hi there Holly - I was possibly wondering if the actual results of the polls were going to be published? Piecharts and figures and all that.. the full data would be an interesting read, instead of just a brief "this and that" type thing.. |

![]() Well I guess you can call it a tradition, but it's really just a joke based on a comic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sadie_Hawkins_Day Good luck with that marriage thing. BTW, the poll didn't tell you much since the questions were too narrow, but you wanted to know what you think you know so you made them fit your ideas. IMO if you wanted peoples opinions you wouldn't have made it so impossible to post here at the forums, the super-short time out on the login keeps many people away, it's just too much work to keep connected, but that was the plan wasn't it?

![]() Why is this in the developer round table? "Happy Leap Year! Spend Money!" March begins tomorrow. Will we finally get a "What's to come in March!" Post by mid-month? We've been content starved since August. AoD does NOT equal content, sorry. The community wants to know whats coming up. We love this game, and are more interested in gameplay stuff, than mounts. |

![]() *Trolling is not permitted* and I second your question why is this in developer roundtable? And yeh, I second you release all poll results for complete transparency. |

Sorry, Sales on SC items are not Developments important to your customers. Actual game development that has content, zones, bug fixes, etc is important. Happy Leap Year!

![]() Happy Leap Year Holly! Don't mind the other posts, but there is just a ton of pretty bad news and goings on coming from SoE that has many of the players (including myself) a bit sour feeling. Sadly, hearing more about SC isn't one of those "good" things. |

![]() While its nice that you're "saying hi" and all, we would love to know the status of the crit mit changes.. This is alot more important to many of us than fluff on SC.. |

![]() To answer a few of you here, the March Update plans post will come tomorrow, March 1. It answers several of the substantive questions asked. For clarity, I will likely post in the Developer Roundtable area for general day-to-day topics, like today's "holiday" and minor news for those who want to hear/read it. Actual news and announcements will take a more formal format so it's more visible/accessible to everyone. And of course, we'll adjust as necessary.

![]() Will the EU servers be allowed to opt out of changes you make to the game based on poll results - bearing in mind you didn't bother to ask us what we thought? We've been repeatedly told that you will continue to develop the EU version of the game, post-P7S1 sell out - presumably in accordance to the results of polling the US servers - and that there will be no substantial difference between the SOE controlled US version and the P7S1 controlled EU version, with the very obvious exception that the US servers get a say in how both versions of the game are developed (inasmuch as you canvas their opinion) while the EU servers get none. @Eileah The tradition of women asking men to marry them on Leap Year's Day predates Sadie Hawkins Day by several centuries. Take your pick from Brigid of Kildare in the fifth century or Queen Margaret of Scotland in the thirteenth century as to who started it, but as a tradition there's been references in literature since the seventeenth century, and out-and-out discussion of the practice since 1830 or thereabouts. |

![]() Ansek wrote: Will the EU servers be allowed to opt out of changes you make to the game based on poll results - bearing in mind you didn't bother to ask us what we thought? I think you are under the impression that they polled the US servers about this, they didn't. They had more than ample opportunity to see how this was going to turn out in the thread from Jan 12th, but apparently they had a meeting and decided that any fallout or ill-will about it was nothing that a little bonus SC lovin' couldn't handle, and boy were they wrong, hopefully they learned a lesson but for some reason I doubt it. The poll the US servers had was pretty much inconsequential to anything because the answers were a limited subset of what they wanted you to be able to say about what you were doing, there was no 'other', so it was either just pick the first item (which anyone familiar with polling psychology knows will happen), pick a random one, or something that was close enough for you. It asked nothing of value, the questions were so meaningless I can not even recall one. They said it was just a dry run to test the system, but it is still inexcusable and stinks that the other servers were excluded and they can sing and dance and say whatever they want to say the only reason the other servers were not asked is because they have already been sold off as customers. Since it has been mentioned more than enough times without so much as a response as to why it could be nothing else. These are the kind of things that Windstalker should be paying attention to, more and more people are getting fed up with being treated like moppets. There was a tremendous amount of goodwill that was lost last week and to this point there has been absolutely no effort to gain it back, and these 'Bonus SC' offers or Marketplace sales where you say 'give us more money' in no way regains that goodwill, personally I find it insulting.

You misunderstand me: I'm not talking about the P7S1 debacle, I know no US player was asked about that but as Windstalker wrote: I think the inference is that they ARE making design decisions based on the results of the poll the US servers got and the EU servers didnt. Therefore its feasible that players on EU servers run by P7S1 will have to live with design decisions made based on canvasing US players only - that, in fact, US players have a voice that is denied their EU cousins. |

I will add that to a list of concerns I have in the thread. I FULLY agree that your input should be just as important, if it isn't then they are hiding something about the intentions of this deal. Those poll results could not possibly helped in any design meeting they are kidding themselves there.

Can anyone point out just exactly what substantive questions were answered by this?As Jaxi pointed out nothing about the questons in the crit mit thread were answered, and no additional information about the PSS.1 ordeal was given. I think some adjustment is necessary here.

![]() It was nothing of substance Lemp. CM removal...it will go live at some point... okay wow thanks for clearing that up. DoV dungeon timers...someone had questions surrounding that? Brewday? City festivals? So Holly, How about answering these questions: What is the status of Critical Mitigation on test? Are you running into dificulties with the changes? What are the dificulties? How are you overcoming them? Do you plan on revisiting itemization at all? If you do what ideas do you have that may put it back on a more reasonable track. How much new content do you intend to release (this year)? What are your timelines and vision for new content updates? Of that new content what are the ratio's of raid vs. heroic vs. solo? What is the status of PVP fixes? When are we going to get to use our own characters in player made dungeons? What is your vision for the comming year in eq2? I have left tons out but I can say without hesitation that you would have been much better served by addressing the above stated questions. |

Was the post the Piestro made today the one referred to here? If so, I'm surprised at the lack of content AND that it wasn't done by the Producer as would seem to have been alluded to. There is nothing Norrath-shattering or excitment inducing in that posting. |
