A topic of ongoing discussion I suppose but every time I see another backpack appearance make its way to the marketplace it jogs my memory and once again I wonder . . .

Will we ever see any in-game crafted backpacks with appearance (other than the brell one)?

This newest one is 44 slot, same as current mc with an appearance. You would think the Hua Mein one would have been an in-game faction purchase.

1500sc.  No trade, not even heirloom.  Although I kinda liked them, I didn't like them that much.  >.<

For these prices they should be Heirloom at the very least.  Truth be told though, SoE should really look at making all non-house decorations bind to all toons on the account.  I understand the thinking behind not doing this but it gives people more motivation to buy these items who otherwise would not ever even consider it, thus in the long run netting more profit.

I recently reactivated WoW and have been playing it for a few weeks.  I almost instantly bought their "marketplace" mount for 25 dollars for the simple fact that I could use it on every character I have and every one I create in the future.  If it had been for just one toon or if I had to put it in a shared bank everytime I wanted to switch out then I would never have bought it; period.

They look great and I was going to pick one up however I choked when I saw the price. I don't like them THAT much.

Considering you can get a whole outfit for 1000 I didn't think they would be priced higher than that.

The outfits are strictly appearance.  The backpacks are 44 slot 20% weight reduction packs.. with an appearance option.

Not saying this justifies $15 for one, just suggesting that's why they cost more than an outfit.

These Marketplace prices are starting to get way out of hand. They arent microtransactions anymore.

I have to 110% agree with this.  When I saw the Hua Mein one, I thought to myself that would have been a perfect in game item for the tailors, or they could have made a pack for the Kerran Isle (my tailor is still pretty low, I think the Kerran Isle is where tailors get their special recipes?).

Even if we had to use a rare root, rare pelt and rare metal and an ethreal material, I would've been totally game for that and would have been more than happy to get tailors to make that for my alts :

Do like I do and don't buy. Yes there is some pretty furniture but I only spend the SC I got from promos or if I cashed in a card for double cash when I bought it for sex/race/name change & had some left over. At $15 a month for min sub (I have 2 accounts at that and one station pass), I am never buying game items for real cash in a subscription game.

Can you hide the appearance of a backpack? Does it hide under the cloak option or something? I was wondering if someone had two backpacks on, which one would show?

The one in the 1st slot will show...if you choose it to or not is up to you.

I would like to see some sort of appearance for the crafted backpacks added. Even if only Tier 9, a plain crafted one and maybe something a little nice for the spotted ones. They dont have to be as intricate as the ones on SC, thats fine if people want to buy a special appearance, I am hip to that. I would just like some options placed in-game as well.

I do appreciate the Brell one, its really fun, I would like something at the high end and more everyday wear though for RP reasons. You dont always want to be hiking a keg around, people get the wrong idea you see.

Well they couldn't give us the Plain backpack that's already used by that LoN Quest.  Which I still only have 1 cloak for

I don't know if that model is tintable.  If they could at least tint it, maybe they'd give us a off color one.  *shrug*

I'm crossing my finger that the Crafters get the Sausage one from SF somehow/someway.

I mean, we have a Halfling Crafting Dev, right?  And, food is a big factor for Halflings, right?
