New Guide Event Reward

I received this as part of a reward for a guide event ran on Befallen yesterday and thought you guys would like to see. It has a really neat graphic when you *uncork the bottle*

Is there any way to check guide event that are coming on your server or is it just pot luck if you just happen to be on when they run? reason I ask is cuz I am spending quite a bit of time on test atm.

I got one of those in a guide event a while back, almost think it was a 10th aniversary thing, but could have been another. Uncorking it did freak me out the first time SMILEY

guides usually post in the server forum the day of the event or the day before...

If I recall correctly, didn't Kiara log in on Nagafen once? I couild be mistaken of course, but I distinctly remember reading somewhere that she was harrassed, insulted, and griefed the entire time she was on. If that story is true, is it any wonder there are no guides on Nagafen? (although there ARE persistent NPCs that give out guide quests on the PvP servers)

That's been in the game for a while now, I remember seeing one of those on AB's broker well over a year ago.

I haven't had a chance to get one myself though. What kind of quest was it that you had to do?

The quest was called " Fae's Shadow" and you had to lead them around "collecting" items so that the fae could make a potion. The bottle itself is no-trade so sadly there won't be any on the brokers.

I was working on that guide quest with 2 other people on AB during the Monlight Madness events, and then the server crashed. SMILEY So I never did get to finish it or get the reward. SMILEY

Hmm... I wonder if they changed that either recently or possibly quite some time ago. It was definately tradeable at one point... I was tempted to buy one off the broker back in the day, but it was rather expensive (30p, which at the time was a significant portion of my money).

I believe this was for the 10 year anniversary celebration and I heard about that too, but I believe it was a problem of she politely asked everyone to stop engaging in pvp activities while around the location they were partying, and instead people were making it out to be a total gank fest. I don't know about her being harrased but I do remember someone saying that it was completely insaine low levels were getting killed by high levels.

Although I doubt this is the reason there are no guides on the pvp servers.

We don't have guides on the PvP servers, so they added in static NPC's who give the same kinds of quests and rewards that one would get from participating in them. I am pretty sure the same NPC's exist on Test server too.

The ones I can think of off-hand are the Troll in CL near the DLW entrance who will give you mistletoe, the Fae in DLW near the Faire who will give you a fae lamp, the snowman in EF who will give you robes, the Dwarf in BBM who will give you the recipe to the fluff axes... I know there are more, I just can't recall where they are all hiding.

Perhaps, but that kind of behavior is why my Test Copy toon has barred the door to his hall and will stay in hiding for the time being. (Test Copy was changed from PvE to PvP for testing the current update)

PVP was turned back off a while ago. They only turned in on for a short period.
