Problems patching..

Hi, I reactivated my subscription and reinstalled my game this morning. I began patching about 4 or 5 hours ago and it seems to be stuck very close to the finish line.

It's stuck on a file called: Char_exp03_global_01.vpk...

That is how it appears on my screen. I am afraid to restart the launcher because I will be waiting another 5 hours and want to play tonight! Any suggestions? Not the best welcome back to EQ2 after a year of being away but hopefully somebody can help change that. Thanks for any info at all!

It doesn't repatch from the beginning. You might need to deleted that one file if the problem persists, but most likely it will just update the file and continue patching.

I took your advice, and it reset the patch progress.

tip: dont bump; its against forum policy and can get you thread deleted.

tips non forum related:

delet your cache folder in /EQ2

bypass router

remove and readd EQ2.exe to your security programs

Go into the EQ2 directory and delete the file that you are stuck on. It may be the wrong size/corrupted. Once it is out of the way it will be down loaded again. The entire down load might go through once that one file is removed.
