![]() Hello my Girl friend has dragged me back to EQ2 and wanted to play a new pair of alts. We both had our eye on a playing Druid but was wondering if it is worth while as a Duo ? I know some things wont stack like thorns and possibly some HoT's ? but if the Fury does the Direct healing and the Warden does the HoT's I would think it would work out ? Does or has anyone played this Duo with any luck up to T8 ? If so do you have any recomendations in AA builds or general stratagies ? Any info would be appreciated. Posting this in both druid forums. Thanks.

Since it is possible to solo to 80 any duo can reach 80 I d suggest to spec the warden as melee 100% consequently. Use tank jewels and so on... At least while leveling. That way he is maybe able to dps tank while the fury heals and nukes. Or the other way round or balanced, or each one heals himself, whatever works best for you. One thing though. You both will never find a group together. Duoing will work well, but you cant get spots in the same group. Maybe on lower levels, but later on not. No one will invite you both. If that isnt a problem for you then roll two druids. if you want to do harder instances later on and both like healers, then you should consider rolling a druid and shaman for example. Druid and cleric works as well, but i think duoing druid and shaman is more fun. In groups it doesnt matter. |

![]() So far this Duo is very fun but it seems like without locking for AA's to get a good Melee warden/Casting Fury foundation they are alot like healing casters, rooting and nuking. From what I can see Wardens get some good rooting skills and specc'ing both as casting types seems like a option at end game when mob AOE's hit real hard. I know the Melee spec Warden is very popular and seems to be well documented but what about a casting AA spec ? Anyone have a good AA path for pure casting DPS ? Thanks.

Well, as casting warden you go INT instead of STR in the druids tree. In the wardens tree you go the rooting tree instead of the melee tree. Shadows AA should be pretty self explanatory. Endgame shard healer armor is supporting the casting warden allready. Items wise you will want a bit more INT and +spell damage where the melee wants abit more STR and +CA damage. If you want a 2nd set of items when not healing 100% the melee warden looks for brawler items and the caster warden for caster items (means its often cloth). |
