what has happened lately? seems like the distance to not get credit for a pvp kill has gotten smaller... lastnight i had 4 different combats where peeps fought me and ran when they were dieing and dies from my dots , and i got no credit for the kill , and some were in still in sight...

whats worse is i got no credit and they still went on my recent list .... no update for pvp writ , no kill count , no fame , no SP ., but now i get nothing at all for 30 mins too?

this is just stupid

you should get credit for any pvp kill in the entire zone, IF you are still in combat with that person, and they die, there chest should appear at your feet like it does with mobs killed at range.

i kill lots of peeps with dots , that die out of range for credit..

It is kinda silly when people go on ur recent list when you do not get credit for them

(( This is the main reason im guessing people cliffdive, if they die far away, no big deal. Fall to their death and splat with no real danger of losing anything in pvp.

Its our job to jump after them and kill them in mid air or ensure that when they do splatter, they will still lose lol

Ive also had this happen to me. Two times last night i had a players add to my recent and not get credit for them.

Please fix this. I wasnt even that far away on one of them.

Well they need to make it so either:

A.) If he's too far to get status / faction / writ update, then hes too far to be put on your recent (same goes with attacking them near the 50 percent mark)

B.) Make it so it doesn matter how far they are if they die, you get the update and they lose.....

Worst part about this game is the ability for some classes to be able to start a fight, start to lose, and then just be able to run away and break combat before the person chasing breaks combat, then said "runner" regens health and power while the other is still enganged and trying to actively chase down the runner...    

It needs to be when a PVP encounter starts, it doesnt stop until one side is dead... no matter how far they are away...

Like said before, as long as SOE promotes running and rewards it, people will repeatedly do that....

Funnily enough, I had someone about 35-40 metres away from me not yield credit today, while going on recent.

The /recent bug has been around forever, but only recently it seems the distance for credit is bugged.

I'd been looking for that mage all day SMILEY

I had a kill a few months ago, where i was with 2 other people, they started to kill someone, i got close enough to get an arrow in and get the person on my recent list, but i got no update for the kill in the form of fame, status or PVP writ...

I petitioned SOE with a screen shot of my Recent list and asked they give me the credit on my pvp writ and they responded "You did not kill this player"  and that was it.... 

Its bugged and i think it always will be...

I assume you mean an arrow in while the person was over 50%, in which case that's a bug I've never experienced or heard of before.

well im a defiler , which equates to slow dammage ...  mostly dots ... and the peeps im talking about did die from my spells .. they had DOT's on them and thats what they died from.

the bad thing is as a defiler , i have no roots , stunns , or snares , and i have to cast while standing still ..  so when some one attacks me then starts to loose, then runs, i cant catch em...  also i have no ranged attacks .. i have used a wand , but the cast time on it is reduculously slow ( and if it wasnt, it would prob be abused in pvp )

but if i get my DOT's on someone before they run i stand a good chance of killing em , but somehow peeps can and will get out of range ...   then ,  no credit ?   even when they are in sight, just out of casting range . ( and that is not right )

i think the idea of combat never ending is silly.  sometimes people come to a draw and mutually decide to end combat that would make this impossible.  i do however feel very strongly that if a person get on your recent list you had better have gotten credit for them getting there.

If you pvp as a shaman the first aa you should get is aa ability root.

Im not talking about leeching off the docks... im talking about my group killing someone as i get in range and it doesnt give me credit, just the recent...

As for the mutually agreed upon "draw"!??! LOL i have yet to see that where two people one v one and then they decide, "Hmm... this is really good fight and we should agree to call it even and walk away from each other!" LOLZ... it either results in someone eventually dying or one person turning tail and running and eventually breaking combat because of the running... that should not happen and they shouldnt be able to ever evac, zone or anything until the fight is completed, your in combat hp and power regen would be the only thing you could have... if you feel like attacking a mob and dying to it, cool, you just gave the person an easy zone wide update and also took armor damage to go along with it..
