** Edited to fix the typo.  They happen, folks.  And also to say I don't know why the page reverted.  I think gnomes got into the code.  I've fixed it.  Let's hope it doesn't happen again.

Well that Orb of Concentrated Memories maybe a little over the top.  A vitality charge once per week?

A couple questions about the rewards. First, we were told before that we wouldn't get them until the expansion came out, is that still the deal, or  will we get them when we hit our 1825th day now?

The fireworks seems like it'll be great. Three three we currently have in game are a ot of fun to play with.

The Orb of Concentrated Memories seems a little silly for a five year vet reward, since most of the people claiming them will be at level cap, and that cap won't be changing anytime soon. With the new exp boost coming ( 10% per level capped character ) and the new lowered exp from the last LU,  it doesn't seem that useful.

The Pixie seems like it'll be adorable, but will it count as a pet or a fluff buff? If it is a fluff buff will it stack with other fluff buffs ( Like the frozen hands /claimable from RoK ) ? Most don't and it would seem like a waste if it doesn't.

Aanndd, no sexy house items? Thats kind of sad. Those are always the best claimables.

Kiara, I'd flag the orb no destroy to save you from 100's of petitions for those silly enough to destroy such an amazing item.

That looks pretty good, especially the Orb of Concentrated Memories. Not very useful for characters whos level is max'd out but nice for leveling alts.

And...

Is that the way you spell veteran or is it intentional?

For those of you saying the orb won't be useful for maxed characters --

Assuming this vet reward works like all the others ...

... you can claim it once per character.

Which means you can use the orb for any alts.

So yes.  It is quite useful.

Ara

EDIT - is there a title, Kiara?  Or is that being kept a secret? SMILEY

Actually, I'd much prefer a tradeskill vitality recharger to an adventure one.  I can't remember the last time I ran out of adventure vitality!  Would it be possible to make it an either/or recharger?

Thanks for the sparklies, in any case! SMILEY

Thanks for the preview.  Was hoping there will be a house item in there.  I'd like the pixie without the string part though.  Fireworks are always cool   Would have loved a tradeskill vitality, too.  And the tradition of having titles...is there one?

Oh, I'm not saying it won't be useful for alts. I'm just saying that exp was currently cut by a large amount ( I think I read 60% somewhere? I might be way off there though ), plus TSO has the EXP bonus coming. With 1 level 80 on your account, your alt currently gets a 10% bonus, plus the exp slash, plus with exp potions you're looking at a 15 hours of 55% exp boost, three hours of 39% exp boost, and three hours of 28% exp boost, to use whenever you'd like. Another exp boost might not be the best thing to put here.

While I'll gladly claim it on all my alts to use, I think that it's a bit off for the target players ( Players who've been playing four years now). A TS item like that might be a bit more useful. Or, an amazing house item? Hehe.

As always, great rewards!  Have to admit,  I'm a bit surprised there isn't a 'title' included.

Well, I like the pixie on a string .. though I really wanted a [mounted Fae plushie] of my very own to torture and tease ..

However, I agree with a few of the previous posters .. #1 the Orb needs to be Tradeskill as well and #2 once week, might be a bit too much.  Maybe just (10) charges and then you can place it in your house/hall as a house item?  Give it an interesting particle effect or something.

And, Title??  /eye ... and ..

Seriously .. how many bloody +exp potions do we need?  We are getting a bonus on top of our characters anyway .. (if you have max lvl characters, etc) .. I dinged nearly 2 levels handing in the 2 halloween quests at lvl 55 for my alt box.  Just make a [instant max level] item for LoN and be done with it already!!!

hey Kiara

I followed the link in your post and all it has is info about the birthday party

I then checked out the 2 posts on the home page and both lead to information about the party, there seems to be nothing there any more about what the rewards are

Cheers

I have the same issue as Tazdragon/Karakka...the links in the post above and on EQ2Players.com take me to articles about the birthday parties (C&P oopsie?).  They have a different article number than the actual birthday party article, but they contain the same content.

Ditto here. I'm not seeing any info about the rewards either. Somebody provide the direct link please?

It seems they've changed the link, it now leads to the birthday party. 5 year vet was 3x 55% exp potions, 3x Ts exp potions, a new fire work, a pixie on a string ( Just says its a pixie of your very own. Not sure it its a pet or a buff ), and an item you can use once a week to refill your adventure vit.

I wonder why they changed it?

The pixie looked like one of those castable dumb pets, like the Kunark Sokokar pet.  I happened to have saved this picture:

However, Imma thinkin' that if the link changed, perhaps the info will be changing too!

Wait. So, another crappy firework, a fairy that more than likely won't stack with the other 900 items like it, MORE exp pots(Because people with 5 year accounts *really* need more exp pots!) and something to max vitality? This would be *great* if the expansion was raising the level cap, but since it isn't, this is all just junk. Yay.

You can blame me for the firework I suppose, I suggested/requested it oh...a couple years ago I think. SMILEY

Thank you for the new firework! Now how about those additional dance animations I once suggested as well? SMILEY

Is this all we get this year? That bixie will look pretty stupid on some characters that should have badass-look on them ,like necros and SKs. And no title? I found last years rewards much better, especially the Mystic Moppet Billy.

That little pixie-shaped balloon might look interesting on mah arasai, but so far ah haven't touched any /claim (apart from the 1 Day reward 12-slot bag) that was limited in how many could claim them (like the killer pot-plant)

Accually the Pixie looks more like the LoN Parrot, the you can get on your shoulder.... and the Parrot DID stack with the Sculls from Nights of the Dead... though I have not activated my frost hands in awhile so I don't know if it works with them.

You do know that there will eventually be another level cap raise and these Items will come in handy then... besides you can claim them on all your toons... I am shure you have atleast one that is not max level... yet.

As far as the Fireworks go alot of people like them... same with the idea of a pixie on thier shoulder, so while you might like them personally they are far from "junk". Also the Parrot that seems to be like the pixie did stack with the Nights of the Dead Sculls so they might work with other things like that... though the sculls where a bit flighty so it could have just been a fluke.

I don't still get it why they didn't include title this year, fireworks are pretty stupid too, and that bixie only suits faes and elves imo, it's bit too "[Removed for Content]" for people who don't want to maximise their cuteness. I know i won't be using it.
