Heya there. I just started a Bruiser on Nagafen. I've never played a Bruiser before though so I really don't know what I should be doing in terms of making a really good PVP build with AA points. Could someone steer me in the right direction? Thanks.

Search is crap btw unless you want out of date information. The rules have changed a lot since the early days of pvp or even just 6 months ago. Don't worry about level locking anymore because it is really no longer possible to get both good AA and pvp at the same time. Put AA into your self heal first and then go for the STA or INT line. When you get to higher levels you can forgo the STA line pick up AGI or WIS. Avoid the STR line on a pvp server for the extra stats are really important in pvp. Also try to get a duo partner, a scout preferably so you can track and evac when the gank groups come for you.

He's right - most of the PvP info is outdated and most of the PvP Bruisers here probably haven't played T1-T7 in a long, long time. He's also right to point out that extra stats are really important for PvP.On the other hand, I did fine from server launch to almost lvl 70 using the STR line. Food, potions and drinks etc can all give you enough stats to equal all but the best weapons - and if you're just starting out money will be tight. Since I returned and leveled to 80 I binned my Twin Calamities and have gone STR line again until such time as I can pick up some decent fabled DW.  I whenever I swap in my fabled T7 weapons or legendary T8 my DPS and avoidance goes down markedly. Anyway, I'd advise maxing STR and INT and spending the money you save on resists and avoidance gear. I agree about maxing the heal though and getting a scout along is always a smart move. A Bruiser is a great solo class but your chances against two or more opponents are not good. Having said that, there's no XP debt now so don't sweat it too much. Also, avoid Wardens. SMILEY

Thank you both for the info. When I first started playing and asked around, people told me to focus on STR so I used up four of my AA's on getting Tiger Strength. I heard the first six respecs are free though in case I decide to change up. When you say maxing out, I assume you mean putting all the points possible for everything in that whole line? Again thank you two for the info.

As far as maxing out, yea, you could put 8 in every spot, but I don't think you have to. You could go 4/4/8/8/2 at a minimum and be pretty good....or even 4/8/8/8/2, that setup would give you some xtra AA's for another line and have some balance to your setup.

Edit...the second item in STR Line is a noce strike that gives a great debuff to crushing....so the 4/8/8/8/2 would prolly be best. It's what I did for a while.
