Has anyone crafted these?  Are they HAWT!?  Can someone post some pics?

I would love you forever (or at least until the next time I beg for pics)

Check EQ2.EQTraders.com

Specifically, check the "Not Evil Enough, Part III" article.

FYI the Canopic Jar is a re-color of an existing art asset.

It's the jar in the upstairs part of the Trexlop room in OOB which contains the "Soul of Tarinax", used by the quest of the same name.

It's still pretty cool though SMILEY

The art is already in the game for all of it. There was more but there was some problem with the art assets (dont know what). These 6 items are all Domino could get in for this update (almost wasn't even that) but she is hoping to have more evil stuff in before the end of the year.

I belive it should have been Obelisk of Lost Souls, and the Tarinax isnt the Tarinax in DT. Im not sure if it is related to the dragon or not, its long since I made it and my memory says no, but I might very well be wrong :p

Hi,

if i remember correctly then it is a soul from an orcish gardener named Tarinax.

BUT

that may be a lie SMILEY

Maybe someone in the Background (Hey, Lore Freaks ! SMILEY ) wanted to control the big ugly skeleton Dragon in Deathtoll, so he sent some orcs to get his soul which was trapped in the obelisk of lost souls (would make sense, a dracolichs soul in a vase - as Lichs put their soul normally in some kind of objects to be invincible) because of the connection the ethernere and so on... and some brave adventurers got the vase, brought them to the orc who brought it to his Master who used it to get control of Tarinax and placed him into Deathtoll... that would be nice SMILEY Hm, maybe this is something for the Legend & Lore Forum, but i don't know if this has not already been discussed... Forum Search FTW SMILEY

Regards, theriatis.

One of the current theories is that Tarinax is Tarinax.

Nothing proven or elaborated upon, but much like how Siyamak and Barakah can hide themselves under the disguise of an illusion, a few of us believe that Tarinax spent a lot of time disguised as an orc. His soul was taken by the Shadow Men at some point. The Orcs never knew he was a dragon. They just think they're getting the soul back of some great orc from the past. Swearing loyalty to Kerafyrm, even without a soul, he is quite contempt with guarding Deathtoll for the rest of eternity as the undead.

To the contrary, however, we know that the shadowmen have been trying to obtain Wuoshi's soul so they can inhabit his body and better observe the world in thier ongoing plans to wipe Norrath off the face of the uni-dimensional map. There is no mention of any previous attempts of taking over the soul of a dragon. The possibility exists that not even the shadowmen knew that Tarinax was indeed a dragon.

Some interesting choices there for new craftable items. The jar of eyeballs is pretty cool but I don't think ill be buying the rest. How about some of the really awesome furniture from Mistmore or Unrest!!! Dark and evil but also refined and a bit 18th century looking.

Just as an FYI, folks. Four of the six promised items are still NOT on Test at this time, even though they were supposed to be.  SMILEYSo, at this point, I can only confirm that the bedroll and the lucanic vase of enmity will be in for GU39.  Domino said they were supposed to be in over there, but they're still MIA.
