Hi,

When I levelled up a tinkerer to 350 before SOE reduced the number of loams required, I had a 50-50 chance to skillup off any combine around even (white) difficulty, even making first grade (crude) quality items.

On my alt, the skillup chance seems to be 20-25% at best over a large number of combines.    Have they changed the skillup chance, or do you need pristines for a 50-50 shot, or....?

You don't need pristine for a skillup on the secondary tradeskills.  If you're making grey recipes your chance of a skillup bottoms out at 25%.  I haven't seen anything about a change anywhere.  It's quite possible the RNG has taken a dislike to you - it's streaky.

I leveled up two tinkerers, one before and one after the loam changes. I find the skill-up are easier to get now then before.
