Deep Forge - Najena's Key Disappeared - No Loot

My group went through Deep Forge for the second time a couple of days ago and after killing the end boss I used a fabled Najena's key (I looted it earlier in the level) on a chest next to the boss, the key disappeared, and nothing came out of the chest. I immediately submitted a petition and the GM said I was supposed to wait until level 75 to use the key, but nothing in the tool tip said anything about that. I wanted to let other people know so they don't waste their key and also suggest to any developers reading to please add a tool tip on the key letting players know to wait until 75 to use the key. Another suggestion would be to put some lower level loot in the chest rather than leaving it empty.

The only possible loot in that chest is a void shard, which you have to be 80 to get I think.

That is definitely strange. The key dropped for a level 50-60 group (all other loot in the zone scaled down), the new void shard thing is supposed to be level 80, and the GM replied that I could use it at 75.

If the zone is Mentored in any way, or the average group level is <75, then the Void Shard chest will be empty. It has nothing to do with the Key. We've gotten the Key before but had an empty chest.

I always loot the shard chest before we kill the final named. Have seen them vanish before.

I have never seen void shard chest be empty unless zone was mentored somehow, or average group level is calculated at <76. If mobs are 78 or less, don't expect a void shard.
