Based on the assumption of all pristine combines, which produce 4 of the basic wash/oil/resin/temper and the new fuel costs at t3 (96c)

Wash/Oil/Resin/Temper = 26 c each (96c fuel + 6c water + harvest = 104 c for 4 items )

Carbon Ink = 3s 6c each

Skill Upgrade = 5s 2c each

Now, the things I can sell to other players is the ink and skill upgrades.  The problem is that I can't make all pristine.  I seem to fall in the 75% range for inks.  This leaves me with 4 inks for every stack of pristine that I cannot sell to players.  Also for Skill upgrades, same thing.  I have been counting on selling the non pristine stuff to the vendor, and covering fuel/book costs.  The current system does not provide for this.  Currently the sellbacks are 5c for w/o/r/t, ~1.5s for ink, and ~3.5s for skill.

I personally am not looking to make a fortune off of crafting.  I just would like to be able to break even on stuff I can't sell.  If I'm going to have to dump tons of adventure money into crafting, then I just won't craft anymore.

I'm also not sure how raising the fuel prices will keep down inflation.  If I'm able to sell to players, I have to jack up the prices to cover fuel costs and jack them up again to cover not selling my junk to the vendor.  That is two things forcing prices up.  This leaves us where those that already have money can craft, then sell there stuff at high prices.

Don't get me wrong, I think the tiered fuel idea is fine.  I can also agree that the resell prices were probably too high for the old fuel costs. (the old prices were like 35c for w/o/r/t, 6s for ink, and 12s for skill upgrade -- and this was when fuel was only 6c).  But both look like they were done too harshly.

Also, the argument that you can cover costs by workshop tasks is a joke.  My main problem with them is that it is useless to use them to try to level.  I'm a 24 alchemist and I _still_ can't get t3 workshop tasks.  It takes forever to try to level by crafting green recepies.
