When I first started this game I was relatively surprised to find that there was little actual difference between good and evil characters.  The game was billed(at least I thought it was) as Good vs. Evil, but for some reason my Pally couldn't even hunt a few skellies without ending up in a group with a necromancer and an assasin.  Then, beyond all reason that I can see, SoE started CLOSING the gap rather than widening it.  Now you can even send mail to players of the other alignment?  Come on!  Is this game Good vs. Evil or not? because if it's not let's just scrap the last pretenses of that and move onwards.

No, it's not and never has been.If anything its a tail of two cities. Freeport and Qeynos are neither good nor evil, they're two cities with opposing view points. If you actually do the betrayal quests you sort of see that neither is completely "good" or "evil", just flip sides of the same coin.

If you want to be blocked from grouping with players from the other city, you'll like the PvP servers when they show up. The good/evil lines will be hard cut on those.

Good, then I'll be abandoning The Bazaar in search of a new home.  Soon, I hope.

Totally agree this game is not about city verse city as far as the story line goes on the current servers, it is about a struggle for survival of the city in a land that has experienced a major disaster. now when they push the PvP servers live, well that seems to be a different story, one in which it seems the devs are listening to the original posters wants and needs a good city vs evil city story line.

Where was the game billed as "Good vs Evil" ?? They're just alignments.

Get over it. I think this change has been a long time coming. Hardly anyone actually pays attention to the good vs. evil or Qeynos vs. Freeport theme. We are all here to have fun :smileyvery-happy:

Don't get me wrong here, I'm not saying that this change is necessarily bad, I'm just saying that when I first went to check out the game(December 2004), I went to the website and was innundated with phrases like, "Choose a side in the Epic battle of Good vs. Evil."  I'm not necessarily suggesting that they not make these changes, just that if they do, they change their advertising of the game to reflect that.  I really enjoy playing this game and am by no means saying that I want my money back, etc...but I do feel that I was misled as to the basic premise of the EQ2 world.

You could always send mail between cities.  The only change is that now you can attach gifts to the mail.

Good is the side of the PCs, evil is the side of the mobs we kill.

Join the PvP server when it comes out.
I bet they removed the mail system in there, since SoE already stated that you aren't even allowed to group with players of opposite alignment... they are 'aggro' to you and killable anywhere at any time (including in cities)
That may be more to your liking...

I am sure you will learn that whichever side you are *not* on is evil when you get corpse camped for a day. Imo pvp brings the leet kids out of the woodwork, and also brings the worst out of those who are normally seen as calm and rational human beings who get fed up of being ganked unfairly. Good luck, fella!

I hate to break this to you (actually, no I dont, cuz I like to [Removed for Content] off whiney [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]es like you) but once you are on a station exchange server like the bazaar, your there for good, can never move.  So, I guess youll have to just live with it, or better yet, just tell the evil people not to mail to you cuz you dont believe in it.

Well you certainly have a sour attitude to be so I have no problem correcting your rude buttox...The server he's on now means absolutely nothing.NO ONE will be allowed to transfer char to the pvp server, period. All pvp servers will be started new the day its opened. So he has the same opportunity to start a new char on the pvp servers as ANY of us do.See you on race day dweeb.
