Now that we're able to transfer our characters to other servers, why are we unable to transfer to Test?  I understand why transferring FROM Test would be a problem, but what is the issue with transferring TO it?  I'd very much like to start playing there, but the prospect of starting all over again is not a very attractive one.  Please allow us to pay for transfers to the Test server.

I the game Horizons they let us Copy our normal server toons to the test server. That would be fun here and be better testing for the devs

NO WAY.. its bad enough certain people on certain servers already have copies on the test server in order to exploit and gather information before it goes live.  If a high lvl character goes to the test server, you should only be able to remain there.  If not, this would be death of the high end game, even more so than it already is atm.

survey says... PASS

The question of copies has been addresses over and over and that's a discussion that, at the moment, I am not touching with a ten-foot pole.

However, this is not the first post I have seen asking why a paid transfer can't be made to Test the way it can to another server.  I suspect that the technical reason is because Test isn't a "regular server."  You can't select it on the server list, it's not on EQ2players.com, and so on and so forth.  There are other technical reasons I'm sure -- physical reasons why it's a different or difficult process.  The logical reasons seem to dictate that if a player wants to pay to move, Test is as valid as any other server.  There just needs to be a big fat disclaimer warning people that when they get here, it may not quite be the game they recognize.   SMILEY

Two other issues have been discovered for TEST chars regarding transfers within the server:

First, you currently cannot create a second account, because the transfer process does not have a TEST Server selection on its drop down menu selection. This is almost the first question it asks is where the toon transferring from is....This has a pretty serious impact on my guild, when almost a third of my guild members are currently husband/wife, family members, etc that have two RL people playing off one account, and would now like to split the account.

Second, the guild status point penalty currently imposed by SONY is just pointless (ok, bad pun) in this case. Because a toon does a same server/same guild transfer, the guild is currently penalized all the toon's guild status points. And from Sony's point of view, if one third of my guild members, surprisingly have two people playing same accounts, representing a potential market, why would you want to discourage these people from creating new accounts??? Penalize all these people and you'll see a serious guild setback....nice....

Issues have been reported to QA, hopefully changes are in the system. Happy frog hunting....ribbitt....
