I was thinking about how someone said they think that rangers should get their very own mount like paladins, well I know this wouldn't be fair if we were the only ones to get this, but what if we could have Griffins as a mount? They have flying carpets, why can't we have griffins? I also think that if you recieved a dragon from the collector's edition, it should be able to grow into a full adult dragon, which you could fly around. They already have griffins that fly around, how hard could it be to allow you to fly around a zone? Lineage II is planning on doing it. For those that didn't get a dragon from the CE, make a quest where you can get a different dragon, that way those who bought the CE don't feel jipped, but everyone can be dragon mount happy! Maybe something along the lines of "Endangered Dragons" and you have to help save the dragon race and the reward is your very own dragon egg that you can hatch and raise to an adult.I know this is just wishful thinking, but how awesome would it be if we could fly around on a dragon?! On a side note, does anyone know if you can fire arrows while riding a mount? This would also be something to think about, horse/griffin/dragon style. Shooting an arrow while moving through the air just sounds like so much fun!

Dragons sound like a bad idea waiting to happen, Paladins and SKs have horses because they are accessable, something like Dire Wolves or something  would make alot more sense, griffons would make the palys cry, etc. Who cares about a mount anyhow, if you want one, save the cash and get one, I personally have a mount and never use it.

I think it is an awful idea - other than the inevitable flood of Rangers on to every server, the RPG aspect of it would be a little disjointing. The idea of a Ranger flapping around on his own personal dragon is just silly. I don't see what it would add to the class other than pure jealousy from everyone else. I'd rather have a point blank bow shot than a dragon.

/agree with rents, a wolf as mount would be a excellent idea :smileyhappy: .
About a flying mount, a big eagle would be better than a griffon, imo.

Both are great ideas, but dunno if it is possible in game :smileysad:

I think in the second sentence I stated that IT WOULD NOT BE FAIR IF WE WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE TO GET THIS. I was just saying in general, if everyone could get it. If they have flying carpets, why can't they have dragons or griffons, etc?

:smileysurprised:I would feel kind of bad about riding a dog...aren't animals supposed to be our friends?

However, I think that rangers having a wolf form (even if it's short duration with a long cast time like the Rabid Wolf AA in EQ1) makes complete sense.

Last thing - I don't think I would ever really use a mount even if I was given one with my class.  I sorta like the fact that we "run with the wolves" instead of flying into battle.  I can imagine a Mage on a dragon, though.  Somehow that makes more sense to me. SMILEY

I agree with Mellow. I could see most of this happening end game(aren't we eventually going to be able to level to 100 or something - after expansions?). I could see different classes getting different mounts...
