At any level do we get to shoot from stealth without agro,Like sniper shot in SWG?it just seems strange that a ranger can not solo with a bow alone.

I'm not convinced I know what you mean but I'll give a few answers:Hidden Shot is a ranged attack where you must be stealthed and behind the enemy to use it. Sniping Shot is used to slow the enemy and again, must be from behind, but not stealthed. Every bow attack will generate aggro, but there is a Trick Shot skill, when if used properly with a prepared tank will allow you to pull without getting aggro. We have no skill that I've seen that allows us to shoot and not generate aggro from it and to be honest, if someone shot me with a bow I'd give them aggro, regardless of how much time they took to shoot me.

I think that Boosey explains it well....I am 22 Ranger and thus far have found that I will get aggro with all my bow attacks. I have struggled with Ranger in the start because it seemed as if my bow attacks were secondary or used just to pull a target and I was always up close and personal on the attack. "So how am I a Ranger????" is what I couldn't figure out for a bit, but  what I have tried to work on as of late (this also works better in a larger group with a few DPS members) is to find a nice spot behind the target and I range away on them, if I see the tank in trouble or we need more DPS I can simply go into stealth, run up and hit them for a high damage attack. Generally I can stay on my bow with a good group all night if I wanted to.

I am still happy with Ranger all in all and am excited to see what the higher level bow attacks will bring.

There was a skill in SWG that would give you a chance of getting 1 or perhaps 2 shots off before the mob understood it was being attacked.  Kind of your classic sniper type attack, where you first need to pinpoint the attacker.

No there is no skill like this in EQ2.  All mobs aggro on first action, so unless there is another member in your group building aggro, they will always start coming directly for you.

This might be a nice thought for the devs going forward, but there is nothing now.

Also, I think that all atacks from stealth will break stealth at this time.

Edit: An interesting combo to try: Stealth -> Hidden Shot -> Trick Attack -> Stalk

Maybe one day they will add something like the Head Shot ability in EQ1 - a one-shot killshot.  Of course, in EQ it only worked on very easy and trivial level mobs, so I'm kind of doubting its usefulness.
