http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=365782 Just thought you guys should see this. And I wanted to get some feedback and several of my Troub ideas that I posted. Sustaining Sonnet Group AoE (upgradeable to raidwide with AAs) that heals the power of all players within range by 25%. 2sec casting, 2 min recast. Balin's Bolstering Bolero- Increases all group members offensive casting, healing and focus skills by 10% and increases spell DPS by 30% 5sec casting 30 second duration 5 minute recast. Does not stack with PoTM Afif's Stunning Sonnata Stuns target for 15 seconds. On termination stiffles and roots the target for 5 seconds and inceases it's hate to its current target by 500. 1.5 second casting 2.5 minute recast Does not effect Epic targets. Laro's Consuming Concerto On Termination, target is immune to the spell for 5 minutes. Transfers 10% of the Troub's max power instantly and 2% every tick to Group or Raid friend. Troub recieves a 30% boost to auto-attack damage a 50% chance to Melee Crit and 15% haste while spell is maintained. Caster is stunned for 5 seconds on termination. Instant casting, 2 minute recast

I'd like to see charm brought back up in duration, maybe not the full EIGHT minutes it was at one point, but at least a minute or two.  As for mez, it was fine as it was before the nerf, the fact that it was single target gave enough of an edge to enchanters to prevent troubs from cramping their class defining (though almost totally useless in most exp group situations) ability. Health regen should be increased dramatically, 140ish HP every 6 seconds is an absolute joke. Dove song - as I stated in another post, I'd like to have it buff damage, not skills.  Even when the spell was conceived, it was weak - mechanics changes have done nothing to help. Power taps in pve. Right.

Don't touch Dove Song, it works fine as is. Alot of people say they don't want their PvE class changed because of PvP, well I don't want my PvP class changed for PvE.

Don't touch Dove Song, or i'll be forced to sing Celine Dion songs... badly.

yeah, i hear ya man. i'm approaching this from strictly a PVE perspective. pvp, sure its fine. but pve, its a waste of a conc slot. anyone who argues needs to look at a parse and the % chance for casters to get spell resists. its just silly.

The focus is useful soloing, course i just stand there pushing buttons well getting hit.  But it's useless for me to use certain abilities well getting without the extra focus.

Afif's Stunning Sonnata Stuns target for 15 seconds. On termination stiffles and roots the target for 5 seconds and inceases it's hate to its current target by 500. 1.5 second casting 2.5 minute recast Does not effect Epic targets. _________________

let it effect epic targets its only 5 seconds....add like a 30 second immunty onto it...that should suffice to keep other classes happy lol

Balin's Bolstering Bolero- Increases all group members offensive casting, healing and focus skills by 10% and increases spell DPS by 30% 5sec casting 30 second duration 5 minute recast. Does not stack with PoTM

___________

Maybe let it stack with PoTM but make it last 20 seconds and have a 10 minute recast....

______

this looks very nice i think...although stun should be like 10 seconds... and duration = ? maybe like 15-30 seconds?

great thoughts and just adding my 2 cents in as a troub on pvp =)

I posted this in that first thread, but I wanted to repeat it here.  I think it would be neat if Troubadors became "Power Healers".  Instead of healing single targets for health, they'd heal them for Power. Talk about being necessary, Troubs would probably become incredibly popular. I'll give it a go. Ciron's Rousing Tune:  Replenishes target group members Power by 300 - 375.  5 sec cast, 30 second recast Mkib's Battle Sonata: Regenerate target group members Power by 100-150.  Instant cast, 5 second tick, 30 second duration, 2 minute recast.

Not that I think that would be a fun role to fill Tide, but that's a great suggestion that improves our utility, desire in group/raids and gives us an active role. However I believe that those abilities would make us too much of a "battery" class. Also if you read my suggestions, I think i put in a group "power heal" on a long recast timer. I think having it as a big heal cast once in a while (a kin to the way that PoTM casts) then it would add more for us to do without turning us into "batteries". Just my opinion. But great idea. Let's get this thread moving finally.

i understand waht your saying but in the same light any calss can be seen as a battery calass of some kind

i mean a tank is jsut a battery of hp to take hits

a healer is jsut a health battery

a wizz warlock or major scout is jstu a damage battery

etc . etc.   so in the end i think a role healing collecting and swaping power would give troubs a major focus esspecialy in conjunction with the caster group it would be pretty nice

No offense Spider, but your classification of every class as some kind of battery or another isn't quite on the money. In other MMOs (CoH comes to mind right away) and even in games outside the genre (anyone play Iron Man in MvC2?) a Battery is a character that is around to simply funnel the rest of the team energy, power, mana or whatever. I think that with Bria's and our secondary power drain abilities that the Troubador would easily fit into a "Mana Healer" role. Howeve, I wouldn't want that to be the only thing that we did in ar raid. I'll admit that I did come up with: roces9 wrote:

But one Mana Heal ever 2 mins is about as far into the role as I would want our class to go. Just enough to give us some more utility, but no so much that all we do is keep the Healer/Tank/Mage at Full Mana. People, please feel free to put more ideas into this. The more that we have, the better. EDIT: Typo.

I see what some people are saying about not being a battery class.  My whole thought was that the biggest complain I hear from our forum, is that we're just buff bots.  The "battery" idea would be so that we could actually interact with the raid more. What if worked differently?  What if you could do something like this: Morale Booster - Until Cancelled - Target player takes 50% of power used from caster in place of his own. 30 second recast. 1 second cast. Basically we're conduits to specific targets.  Now this is probably literally more close to a Battery, but keeps us from feeling like healers for a different bar. Thoughts?

Yeah, I'm not against more stuff to do in raids/groups. However, I just dont want us to be *completely* selfless. It's great making everyone else in your group rawk, and It's great to have an active role in making that happen. But I think that everyone has a little bit of a selfish side and still wants to see some personal success too. Anyways, Here's what I had come up with before: Laro's Consuming Concerto- On Termination, target is immune to the spell for 5 minutes. Instant casting, 2 minute recast Which is more or less the same idea as what you gave, but with (heavy) benefits to the Troubador aswell. Tide, your idea sounds pretty good too. If you maintained the spell for too long, you'd be OOM really quick, but it would be nice to give the healer/tank/wiz/whatever some more power. While it gives the other people in your group alot, it's a lot like PoTM where it heavily decreases your effectiveness durring the durration of the spell. Which I don't like. That's why I gave my version a little bit of benefit to the Troub. Sure youre going to have no power left pretty soon if you cast it, but you get pretty gnarly AutoAttack boosts to make you not feel useless while you cast it. I like yourse too though. Anyone else going to give some feedback or any more ideas?
