I would go for it if i was you, though i will warn you though the troub class now is very different than what it was when you left(assuming you left before the Combat revamp)   At 59 I find my self well placed in both raids and Groups in general.   We reallly only shine in one role when raiding.  IMO that is to increase the dmg a mage group can do, while at the same time keeping their hate agro gain in check.   We definetly are not an easy class to play, but after the revamp I really dont think any class is overly easy, to play well. And to answer you question about nerfs, it depends on how you look at it.  We got some very powerfully abiltes added to us while at the same time most of our melee buffs have been removed/reduced.    We are now a hybrid between a scout and an enchanter.  Most of our dps is gained by increaseing the casting dps of the group by either adding procs, power regen, increased casting ability, health regeneration, Crowd control, and several others.  If you give the changes a chance, and adapt to them I think you will like what the troubador class has become. Oh by the way charm is actualy somewhat usefull now :-p

hehe thanks... i started considering it last night... any time i make a reference to EQ2 around my g/f... she's always asking if she would like it...we've been playing WoW recently... and i tried to get her to play SWG... but she thinks its a bit too boring of a grind... she likes WoW because of the quests and such... so i think EQ2 might be good for her... im considering re-installing it and activating my acct for a month to just let her see it... if she likes it i'll get my other acct active for her... so i'll ask her when she gets home... but the way things are looking... im highly considering it again... with the combat deal it seems less dull... my first char on EQ2 was a pally... and nothing got duller than... taunt, auto attack, spam a CA every once in a while... heal.. taunt... so i hope there will be more depth to playing... but coming from WoW where the PvE system is very in-depth, will be the true challenge

Well the nerf hammer is hitting us again in LU16.  Aria's proc damage is being reduced.  I love playing my troub, aside from us being the special oplympic champions of soloing, but I think they should take a look at a few things on our hotbars.  In a raid the other night a 48 drige was more desired than the 50+ troubs.  Our self buffs should also be fixed to get rid of the concentration it takes.
