Please, PLEASE someone look into this. I picture warden being the master at rooting things yet they are worthless, you cannot rely on them at ALL. I have the master 2 group root and a master 1 regular root. They get resisted so often and break even more often. I'm trying to do the Nek Castle 3 and we don't have a mezzer in our group so I figured I could help out by keeping the extra enemies away from the main group. I couldn't do it because they would resist and break so often. With master 1 and 2 and i'm having this much trouble I can't even imagine what it would be like at adept 1 heh...Really needs to be fixed because as it is now theres no reason to even use these spells.

Do you have your Subjugation skill maxxed (for single-target root) and your Ordination skill maxxed (for group root)? If not, get 'em up, it makes a huge difference. Also , the EoF AAs that improve our roots makes us the best rooters in the game, though they're still quite good without the AAs as long as your skills are maxxed.

subjugation skill and spell level helps a lot. they're going to adjust spells so that they're a ltitle harder to resist with a coming update. hang in there.

![]() Is that zone lvl 70+ mobs? they are mucho harder to root than 67 and down ....even 68 69 are tuff sometimes depending on type of mob. I have the master 1 and 2 roots ... and generally dont try to root 70+ mobs .... although raising the skill to 360 would probly help some. Generally speaking if wardens cant root em ...no one else can either. Was just trying to solo the Goul lord 68^^^for HQ in loping planes ..... I had one lucky run where i got him down to 60% before he started resisting my roots alot. But most of the times i tried him ....he would get 3-4 resists in a row ...and that equaled me dieing cuz he hits so dang hard. I have soloed the Earth Lord in Bone mire a few times .....Long root nuke battle.....But having Elemental master smite plus we hit DD on elemental really helps on that one. Id say you dont have your skill maxed or your trying to achieve the kind of crowd control that coercer/illusionist does....which we cant....They are much more effective against mobs a few levels above them

![]() I have M1 of both roots and find that my roots hold incredibly well. I have maxed subj. and ordination as someone put earlier. I can solo a lot of lvl 70 heroics if I don't run out of mana first. I'm spec'd for all healing and not a lot of DPS so it's usually a long fight. But I find that our roots are awesome. I duo quite a bit with a ranger friend and am always throwin up roots so he can backup and range the mobs for DPS. I'm very happy w/ our roots Samui 70 Warde/Sage Oasis Dirty Dozen

![]() Before I made the switch to the cure lines I did maxed out roots and snares on the Movement line. It works extreamly well with master1s. The restability is so low it's not even funny. I was able to solo the gargoyles outside mistmoore castle. Consider though, I have small amount of raid gear and all claymore rewards with the except of "Beyond Death's Door"(Last active quest that takes you into Deathtoll). If your going for yellow ^^^ heroics while being a level 70 then I suggest not going after casters, with all our resists its nothing like doing a melee type who can't attack you at all while being rooted. I'd do this if going for ultimate heroic soloing. (Movement and INTEL lines were maxed out for important stuff, skiped last AA on intel and maxed crits and focus/disruption buff) Root Single, Root Group, Snare, HO start, debuff elemental mit spell, subzero, HO cycle again, reroot and snare. -Consider Using intel hex dolls to lower resisting. -Boots from first named in Valdoon, buckler of blight, and other items that give extra damage and hostile procs are awesome. -Claymore really gives alot of nice gear that doubles for both healing and nuking. I had my most offensive fun doing INTEL and MOVEMENT lines, but switched over to STA & AGI and cures/renewal to max out healing potiential for raiding. Non-raiders- I suggest going INTEL MOVEMENT STA WARDENS/Lil bit of Renewal(Spirit of the bat and spores) Soloing- STR INTEL MOVEMENT WARDENS(Bit of renewal) Raiders- AGI STA RENEWAL CURE LINES Those are just my suggestions. I really havent had as much raiding experiance as others, but I'm learning alot.(AGI, wild regeneration is the best thing since sliced bread if you need to heal faster.)

![]() Agree with pretty much all of this except for one note: the cures really are only good if you're in a gulid that's newer to raiding or not really hardcore. Their value for a raider in a top-end guild really diminish due to the curve/difficulty of use (ie not being able to easily maintain the cure buffs) and the fact that resists/mit are still kinda messed up. Imo, I'd honestly reccomend movement or wardens line for a raider over the cures atm, especially since Nature's Walk seems to be getting fixed soon. |
