![]() Hey folks, I've checked Splitpaw out ysterday (37 necro here) and wow - the solo arena was ridiculously easy. The champion never got my tank pet down below 80% hp - and then I got around 10gp worth of loot! So I'll make it part of my daily routine. For which I need te port shard. Which leads me to my question: Which are the easiest 3 quests to complete solo for a necro? I've already done Fitch's Prank and will do Harclave today (which I imagine will be tougher for me sice I doubt the pet will receive the god mode buff). What's a good 3rd quest to do SOLO for the shard? I can't think of a 3rd solo quest down there. Does the solo arena count for it, or do I need to drag a group down there to try to get the spider den knocked out?

Well Harclave can only be done once per level so that one is out. I would say Arena and the Prank instance are the easiest.

![]() I don't think repeating a quest counts for the port shard, you need 3 distinct ones... the solo arena counts for it? I wasn't sure.

![]() The solo arena does count towards gaining trust. Fitch's Prank, Harclave and solo arena is indeed the solo way to go. Tip for Harclave though - you're right, our pets don't get the buff. I prefer to use my warlock pet in there, while I tank everything. Toggle off the protect options, and let him go to town after you've locked down aggro, and he'll be a nice additional source of damage and healing to shore up what the buff isn't giving.

![]() I agree, I was actually planning on going with the scout pet for that one to start. Do you really recommend the mage instead? I only ask because I hate him for running out of power all the time and for dying when a mob sneezes on it.

![]() In Splitpaw, I like the warlock pet over the assassin for his AoEs and group healing proc, though you can work with the assassin as well. For me, the warlock made things go faster and smoother. Just about everything in there comes in groups, and that's just the way I've liked to do it. Should extra groups add though, especially after the various changes in Harclave - yeah, last time I ran Harclave while leveling on Test that healing proc from the warlock saved my butt a few times. Stupid bees. Yes, if the warlock gets aggro in there, he dies fast. That's why I'd lock down aggro first. Toggling off the protect modes means he'll stand there inactive giving you the chance to lock it down first. I'd pull with the plague line AE, then PBAoE once the group got to me. Once those have hit, I haven't had much trouble holding aggro. Just tell your pet to attack each new target in turn after that. If the warlock is out of power following a fight or two, just resummon a fresh, new one. There is no right or wrong way to do it, so long as it works.
