I dont know whats wrong with your necro but your playing it wrong. My necro can solo very well. Necro life taps are awesome when things get sticky and if the tank is low on life can always use transfer life once or twice to get him back up then Lifetap it right back.

Ive never tried a conjuror but from what i hear they have better defensive buffs for their pets which would make soloing easier.Necros on the other hand get FD which will save your bacon a few times. Play whichever class is the most fun for you but Necro's definatly solo well.

I have a 58 necro, and he is so awesome solo. I also am working on a new conj who is 26 atm. I can see where conj will rock with group encounters, where as necros are more for single target mobs. Both are very fun and very good solo.

I have a 67 Conjuror and now a 33 Necro.  I solo and group with both toons.  I think they are both good as soloers and group members.  I personally think the Necro is better for pure solo play, as they have the ability to self heal and Feign Death.  That being said, both classes are good soloers.

I have a level 57 Fury, and I have to admit that the Fury is also a decent Solo class.  It's a lot easier to get a group with a Druid than it is for a Summoner though.

Even though I solo often with all of my characters, it's still group play that is more fun, more rewarding, and the xp just flies with a decent group.  Even if you don't have a full group, XP is much much faster with a duo or trio than solo.

My necro has been going out with another necro who's the same level, and we can easily get a good chunk of a level, if not a whole level in a few hours play.

If you want to have a really good time, make a group of 4 pet classes, a healer (a warden is great here, because of their swarm pets) and a tank.  The healer will do a lot of nuking, and the tank will be constanly pulling.  The pets work well together, and you gotta feel sorry for some big mobs when all the swarm pets are cast at once.  If you have a mix of Necros and Conjurors with the Wisdom AA line enabled, the healer isn't needed, making room for another pet class.

Not trying to insult you, but my 7 year old son has soloed his necro up to lvl 30.
If you can't solo a necro I don't think a Conj will be that much easier.

ya necroes basicly have the utilites over conjurers like heals and i think they res and some other stuff. but conjurers are the better tanks. and once u get ur lv 65 spell that turns ur tank pet into the best of all tanks for 1 min then its a fact that conjurers are the better at soloing. necroes on the other hand get a destructive spell which requires dead bodies to raise them and send them at a target, but I still like our spell better. the 1 great utility we got and they cant have lol.
