How can I tell if this is proc'g like it should be? The spell desc says it can do up to almost 500pts damage (can't remember exact #s) but I turned on all combat and spell options in my chat window last night and never saw any text saying it was going off.  I also had intensity on the tank and I did see that go off but that is the only spell he could verify was proc'g for him. I tried taking intensity off in case they won't stack.. even though both icons showed up together so I assume they do stack, but it made no difference.

Am I missing something?  (I usually am.)

On a side note, for the first time in many levels I tried soloing last night w/my personae and I slowly gained confidence and ended the night taking 3 level 43s, I'm 44.  I went to orange on health but wasn't really using strategy, just kinda spaced out and was sending /tells while half-[expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] paying attention.  So far, so good where soloing is concerned SMILEY  (please don't let them nerf that one!)  All the other mages (especially wizards) in my guild were very, very upset they can't solo over their level now but hey, I'm just glad I can solo now. Period. lol

Thanks,
Elly

I have all of my combat messages turned on and I see both spells proc.  I believe if you are casting it on your main tank you would have to have 'Other Combat' turned on under your Combat on the Chat Options.  Most people have this turned off (like myself) because of all of the spam you get in your window if you are around other players because you get everyone's spam.

I adept III my doppleganger last night and without too much strategy (read...I could have done better) I took out a level 49 ^^ mob (I'm 50 right now).  My dopple died and I was pretty low on health but I think I could take some risk out of it with another day or two of strategy refining.  One thing I did to prepare for having a dopple was to get a 2nd suit of equipment that focuses on agi/sta/str/health and I put on that suit when I cast the spell.  Since your dopple inherits whatever you have on at the time that you cast the spell this carries over to him.  Then I put on my regular gear and go to town.

I was scared the day before beta but it seems that they've upped our pet enough to be worthy once more.

Sakarab, 50 Illusionist, Oasis

P.S. I was duo'd with an inquisitor buddy and we were taking out mobs using my pet as the MT SMILEY

maybe adept three will bring much better results.  My Dopple is marginal at tanking at best.

He is ok for Blue and White ^ with alot of help but is very low health after each fight.

There is NO WAY he can tank a ^^^ even with a dedicated healer.

He is pretty cool and useful but no super pet.

Word of advise, ditch him before you Duel.  He breaks mez.

I would say Prismatic Strife must be proccing ok. When I drop it on our MT I can see the difference in the way the mobs health drops... love this spell actually

I think its a great spell, recast seems almost instant too.  I am pretty sure I had others casting and hits/misses, etc all turned on, but it is a lot of spam to sift thru to find the message.  We had a wizard in the group so it was hard to tell if the sudden drops in mob health were due to him or my buff proc'g.  I just had/have this fear that, hey here's a pretty cool spell, and then see that its broken or just not as good as it claims to be hehe.  Wonder why I'd be paranoid like that...:smileyindifferent:

For the night this was 38% of my personal DPS.

Biggest issue is if you root/stun rot a mob that can eat your pet in short order.  It is inneffective.  You need to cast it on your pet before he dies and I still need work on my timing.
