![]() It seems alot of the epic x4 mobs are either highly resistent or out right immune to posion damage. What are you spells are you using when you run into this problem?

![]() your brigands and assassain are it. they must always keep their debuffs up. your guild should have 2 brigands to keep their 3k-to-all-debuff on all the time. if your guild doesnt have these required classes for your mage dps group, you are stuck with dots/neth lord/manabattery. if you have these 3 guys plus a troub in your mage group for alin's deagro, you will have a ball and should be able to hit most mobs with ease

![]() sadly there are a few zones where the mobs are just plain out immune to disease and/or poison spells (Gates comes to mind). No amount of debuffing will remedy that. When that's the case, damage wise my arsenal consists of Word of Force (the splitpaw spell), thwart, ice flame (if the mob doesnt have an aoe), and Netheros. Don't undersell Word of force. The damage scale doesnt look that great, but if you happen to have an illusionist's dynamism on you, a Troub in your group, and a few spell procing items, it can actually do some pretty decent dmg because its quick recast. Also obviously mana pump and your Str/Int debuff can still be used. Which brings up an interesting point, that I'm actually afraid of posting for fear of nerf. But I've noticed even poison immune mobs can be hit with Curse of Nothingness. It's nice to be able to play some roll and that debuff defintiely can affect the dmg from a mob on a raid...but always thought it was weird that it even hit those mob, albeit at a higher resist rate and sometimes tougher to land.

![]() there is also a poison/disease debuff poison that predators and rogues can apply, and stack with their DOT poison.. pretty sure it affects epics, but I would have to check to be 100% sure.It lasts over a minute, so can be effective for a while. |

I like immune mobs for a change, gives you something else to do. I'm usually grouped with a troub and a wiz so I have precision of the maestro and ice lash on top of all spells I cast which helps alot. Thwart is very good but the spell I've learned to love is Word of Force, it quickly found it's way back to my primary hotbar since DoF. It's fast recast and that's why it's nice DPS still, especially with the Flawless Pronunciation proc you get sometimes. Netheros is another option but I found that many mobs are also immune to crushing so I often don't bother with it. He does do heat attacks sometimes but it's often not worth casting it for...

I spam Word of Force, Thwart, and if the mob has no AOE run in and use Ice Flame. If it is a long fight I might feed power to priests.

![]() If the mob's just resistant to poison I use Shadowed Pyre and Nil Absolution (disease damage) in addition to the spells listed above. Message Edited by MilkToast on 01-27-200608:03 AM |

![]() Though looking at the lastest update on test, it seems that they're replacing damage immunities with very high resists |

![]() I may be weird, but for disease/poison immune ... Damage-wise, I go Word of Force, Thwart, Word of Force, Blaze, Word of Force, Freezing Whorl, Incinerate, Word of Force, Blaze ... blah blah blah. That way while Word is refreshing I'm still doing damage. FW and Incinerate are 1 sec cast times so you can put both of those in. I just do that till Thwart refreshes, then when it's about to, i hit Word before so i have it before and after.
