From Darklight Woods:Go to Neriak.  Go to the Dockside Markets section.  Find the Broker and the Bank. Explore the tunnels a bit until you find a fellow with a title that says something about tradeskills (I am completely spacing what the title is). There are about 6 people in the area of those two stalls.  The one who is just outside one of those stalls is the one who can help you first.Hail him.Take on the new tradeskilling quests.Read the information he tells you.Learn to craft. SMILEY

Let me address the possible misunderstanding that I'm seeing in your post here. You don't have to tradeskill to upgrade your spells and combat arts. You *can* tradeskill to do it, but there are other people already tradeskilling that you can buy from or you can buy dropped scrolls off the broker (or get drops of your own out adventuring). You should start tradeskilling only if you want to explore that side of the game or you know that's something you want to pursue. If you start to tradeskill with the express purpose of outfitting your character with your own wares, you're going to have to keep your tradeskill level at or above your adventure level, and that will take some focus and time away from adventuring in the game. You should only start tradeskilling if you really want to be a crafter.
