I was just wondering if this is the case.  In otherwords,  if you are fighting a lvl 30 mob using a lvl 20 poisen does the mob have a higher chance to resist then if you were using a lvl 30 poisen?

If this is the case then Sony should adjust the level rankings on the poisens.  I am a lvl 32 Alchemist and as I level up I can make different poisens.  The problem is that even if the poisen is a lvl 36 recipie , it will show up only as skill 150.  This means the poisens I am making at level 32 are already green to my lvl 34 Assassin.

One solution would be to make the poisens usuable at lvl 30  but have mastery at lvl 40 , just like they do with other player crafted goods.  Another solution would make the poisens lvl based on what level the recipie it is.

Anyone happen to know?

actually the solution is already in place -- well sort of. you can use player made potions above your tier. so for examples i can buy tier 4 poison range 1 to 150 even though i'm only lvl 26. The lvl scales with my lvl. the problem with this of course is being lvl 26 in a guild lvl'ing at rougly the same rate, we don't have tier 4 alchemists to make this stuff. by the time we do , i'll be lvl 30 and using either the store bought 150 poison or wanting tier 5 poison for the 1 - 200 skill.

i think a decent rule of thumb is that the store bought stuff is good for about 4 lvls, then you need the player made stuff from the next tier. i very rarely find this stuff for an affordable price , but when i do i grab it up. the translucent stuff has 7 charges so as long as you don't die much , it can last awhile =).

Even if he does use tier 5 that doesnt solve the problem at the higher levels. Once you start raiding and doing everything over 48+ then level 40 poisons are still resisted all the time.  I think the real solution is to make them minimum for the start of the tier and required as the end of it.  So for example a tier 5 poison would be 200 required and 250 mastery much like a pristine piece of armor is 200/250.  That would also fix the overlap between the tiered poions for 10/20/30 as well.

Any suggestions where to post this suggestion concerning poisens so maybe the issue can get some attention?

That would be perfect. It would mean alchemists in a given tier would make poison for characters in that same tier, it would preserve the inherent advantage of player made poisons scaling in lvl, and it would address the resist rate issues. Khlaysta, have you /feeback 'd this. I think that would be a great idea.

It has always baffled me why food/drink works that way, but poisons don't.It's going to take a lot more than making poisons proc and succeed once in awhile to make Alchemists useful again. The back end of each tier is a real problem (>n6 in the tier).I'd like to start with poisons/potions that don't magically regain full charges when you zone. Shhhh. How things like this don't #1) get caught in beta, #2) get fixed immediately, are beyond me.
