![]() Just a minor correction and a additional info for you. When you mention Caltorsis Knights, they can also be found near Fangbreaker Keep, located to the east above Windstalker Village. Giant Kodiaks are found north of Fangbreaker and east of Windstalker. |

![]() Thanks for the guide, it's nice work. One thing atm. I think you really need to explicitly state who to get the Paladin quest from: Delacar Mithanson in North Qeynos.

![]() Here is updated information for your guide on the armor quests: All of the quests are named "Ian's Forgetfull Family - Part ___", so part two is "Ian's Forgetful Family - Part II" Armor quest 5 is located in Thundering Steppes: Kill 10 corpse feeders (located in the dry river bed) Kill sabertooth looters (can't remember exact number, in crater at Qeynos Tower 1 near Antonica zone in) Kill 10 (again can't remember exact number) unearthed settlers (these can be found by the docks on other side of hill) Reward = Hearth Forged Greaves (Stats can be found on my web page but I'll post better ones when I get home from work). Armor quest 6 is also located in Thundering Steppes: Kill 10 drowned troopers (these are out near the burned out forest close to Qeynos tower 4) Kill (12 I think) centaur hunters (these spawn every 10 minutes at Qeynos tower 4 in a group, you get one or two hunters in the group) they also roam behind the tower but are much more rare and all the centaurs are placeholders. Kill the named giant Ott Stompgutt (I don't have the exact location but it's fairly close to Qeynos Tower 4, there is a valley leading towards a bridge that is filled with giants. 3 giants spawn at the entrance of the valley so clear those first. When you walk into the valley and get near the rock Ott automatically spawns along with two bear guards. He was yellow at 22 (I think he's 24 with two up arrows). Make sure you have a good group with two healers, he was fairly tough. NOTE: Adding people from a second group to form a raid makes the encounter trivial and it doesn't count. Has to be done with one group only. Reward is heart forged breastplate which I don't have the stats for at the moment. Also, part IV quest for the shoulders requires level 22 to wear them. Part V quest for the leggings requires level 23 to wear and part VI for the breastplate requires level 24 to wear. I wish I could be more detailed but after completing the quests I can't see exactly how many I had to kill hehe. Message Edited by Kriterian on 11-28-2004 01:35 PM

![]() I just thought of something else that would be useful in the guide. Since spells are different in EQ2 and some area effect spells only affect the encounter it would be useful to know the following: Which spells/abilities hit every mob around the paladin, whether part of the encounter or not? I know assault hits everything in the area. Which spells/abilities hit only the mobs in the encounter and are safe to use around other non-encounter mobs? I know Cry of Conviction only hits encounter based mobs, not everything in the area. Which spells/abilities don't hit or wake up mezz'd mobs? I know the taunts don't wake them up. I'll try and test later but I rarely have an enchanter in my group and when I do it's not wise to wake up the mezz'd mobs hehe.

![]() What is this spell you are writing about in your guide, BoomJack: "At level 13 you get your DD spell, which is great for pulling. Not only can you now pull from distance, but the damage makes the baddies hate you, which is the whole point of you being the Main Tank or MT." I'm a lvl 17 crusader and dont see this spell anywhere.

![]() The spell descriptions are a bit off sometimes. For you, the biggest non-intuitive spell related piece of information I can think of is that your ward, Demonstration of Faith, generates big aggro. I use it as the first spell cast on a pull, ahead of even Inflame. The mobs will stick to you, and if your group acts appropriately they will stay there the whole fight if you do keep hitting Inflame when it lights. All the best! |

![]() Don't mean to be difficult, but in my experience the best bet for an offtank is to avoid taking aggro -- if aggro flip-flops, it's handy to have only your main tank trying to get Aggro back because he's going to be the closest one to the top of the mobs hate list Ideally. The healing/buffing and damaging role of the paladin makes us wicked offtanks too ![]() Message Edited by kazekaje on 12-01-2004 01:20 PM |

![]() I wasn't very clear. In situations where there is more than one mob, the off tank should be picking up the mobs that break onto groupmembers that are NOT the main target. |

![]() Just a minor point. On your chart, you have Knights Stance set at 0 Concentration. If memory serves, it takes 3 or 4 concentration to maintain that buff.
