![]() Starting on a new server, me and two friends started new characters. We thought we had picked a good all-around group when we decided on Bruiser, Brawler and Inquisitor... but reading post here and there it seems the Inquisitor is a poor choice for a Bruiser tank. Is it bad enough to warrant him making a new char (Defiler you say)? We haven't hit level 10 yet, so it'd not be that much work, but he's kind of fond of Clerics and atleast decent dmg vs undead... and debuffing attack-speed always seems dull in comparison. Seems I turned this into a Shaman vs Cleric issue, but asking on those forums would just get me flamed... If I understand it correct, Shaman wards prevent those x dmg being made to us, but doesn't the Cleric reactives do the same thing, except heal those x dmg as they're taken? Or is it that reactives heal a fixed amount every time you're hit, thus being a less than optimal pick when you take big but few hits? And how bad is that... really? :smileysurprised: |

![]() Well, a decent played cleric can heal brawlers okay, but it takes more work, and generally shamans do a better job. It's because cleric reactives will only heal you when you take damage, and because brawlers have higher avoidance, they get hit less often, but take more damage when they do get hit. So a cleric will need to use direct heals more often to keep up, which burns through power quicker. If you plan on grouping together a whole lot, and since you're only level 10, then I would suggust switching over to a shaman type healer, unless your healer likes challenges :smileytongue:

![]() If the person doing the tanking keeps his gear up to date your friend shouldn't have a problem. There have been times where healing a monk has been easier than healing plate tanks.

![]() I have a templar alt i sometime duo with to lvl him up and he keeps me alive just fine. all i really have to do i click 2 bottuns ( both reactives ) then go to my bruisers screen and im good for about 10 mobs on me Bruisers can solo just about anything that A) doesnt mana drain and B) Doesnt have so much hp that you run out of mana before getting it to 50% hp so really any duo partner will work out fine. Like i said i 2 box a templar occasionally and can go through den, nest etc easy im sure with an actual person playing the cleric it would be 5x easier.

Bruiser, Brawler, and Inquisitor... you mean Brigand instead of Brawler?

Ahem, I guess I do. All them B-classes keep confusing me :smileywink: As for the Inquisitor, he is no more (he had a silly name anyway). His slot is now filled by a defiler (with a much better name). |
