Hey Guys Xiaoyu Linghua here
Gonna say after reading like 15 topics and a few hundred posts / replies on these combat changes
I think its about time someone took a less violent way to explain it.. to many people are getting
very vocal and very mean to each other about these changes and alot of tension within the monk
forum has resulted of it.

heres my logic on the new changes coming up...

The Ugly....
 A) yes you all are right  noone should pay to beta test a game
 B) yes noone should have to play 50 levels of 1 way invest their time and coin
gearing to that purpose just to have it 180'd a year later.
 C) yes the devs should have just not released the game till it was ready

The Bad....
 A) All of us that were mostly dps geared monks will need to relearn our class
 B) Most of us will rebuy a WHOLE lot of items to respec to be a tank class
 C) You guys had to know somewhere in the back of your mind that your dps was
WAY WAY too high for being a fighter class... I knew it was gonna change
eventually when i was tanking a heroic mob solo while dishing out 2-300+  dps
as much as I didnt want it to end I couldnt lie to myself and thats why I am
not upset with SOE for these changes..
 D) As of right now I think finding a group might get kinda hard not just for a
monk but for ANY fighter class.

The Good....
 A) This is the way it was intended and it will "fix" the game
 B) This "nerf" doesnt only affect monks ALL fighters are getting their dps reduced
 C) I think from the looks of the system str will play a huge roll in dmg as will agi
in avoidance so Im guessing if you still wish to be hardcore dps you can easily
go crazy str on your gear and pull it off or if you wish to tank you can focus
heavily on agi / sta     /shrug not sure tho
 D) And in the End the "dumbing down" of the game some people have stated even if it
slow down the game is that really a bad thing? i saw that ALL mobs are getting
hp / pwr totals reduced  so its a universal change  if any of you played eq1 you
know how insane a game can get when the high end tanks have 20k hp and you need
400 AA's to be competitive... maybe its not such a bad thing to slow thigns down
    a tad bit.
 E) and truly our class was supposed to be a tank and the majority of us chose it knowing
that sony stated that in the beginning we learned to "deal" with this situation and in
some cases (like myself) ended up enjoying it.

All in all I dont think it is fair to bash a system you have yet to try. So do just that try it
and form YOUR opinion from YOUR experiences. and remember seriously this is just a game and try
not to get sad / depressed / angry over this for real if you dont like the way your class ends up
reroll a new class and try it enjoy it play for fun  who knows ya might like it more than kung-fu =)

I regularly tank for my 5 man guild group, and I can't wait to tank even better for them.

I also can't wait for the chance to tank raid mobs, and actually be considered for the spot.

I welcome to combat changes!
