I have been checking the duration of mob stuns on my Berserker. My conclusion is that they have much longer durations then my own single stun. Yesterday I soloed a group of 3 blue vvv down mobs and was stunned the entire fight and died. Not only was the duration of the stuns way longer then they should be, but the mobs had many different types of stuns. As it is now the rate and duration of mob stuns completely eliminate solo play as a viable option. I must also state the my Berserker wasn't even able to taunt while stunned. This is the root cause of many of the agro issues tanks are having right now. They get stunned, stay stunned and can't taunt while stunned.

Tell me this doesn't destroy the game play experience.

Agreed, the stuns are a bit overboard, it makes it VERY difficult to keep aggro with multiple mobs. It can be hard sometimes with even 1, but toss in 3 or 4, and its perma stun.

There are a couple named mobs in the Clefts of Rujark and the Harpy instance in there that have a big and long AE stun, they are pretty mean, just an FYI to look out for named with AE stuns.

Only 1 stun?  What level of a Berserker are you?  At level 50 I can think of 4 stunning type attacks off the top of my head:
  1. Slaughter (if not his attack, the otehr AoE melee attack we get)
  2. Stunning roar
  3. Vanquish
  4. Shield bash (requires shield, stun)

If you include HO the Crushing Anvil attack (Encounter AoE) is also has a stun / knockback effect.

With that said, if the encounter stifles / stuns you early an easy fight can turn into a nightmare.  With lower avoidance being stunned is a lot easier.  Being able to taunt while stunned is difficult; however, the encounter taunt can be used while stifled / stunned.  So at least there is a way to maintain agro while being perma stunned (that and make sure Offensive defense is on).

Agree.

Mob stun is way too high atm !! If you aggro a group of 3-4 mobs you can be stunned for looooong time (4-6 secs per stun) .

This is ridiculous.

At level 50, the Fearsome Shout AE Taunt can be used while stunned.  Is this true for lower versions of the line?  If not, it should be.  That would help some.

Yes, it can be used while stunned...however, it's not a lot of help.Holding aggro in a multi-mob encounter is a lot more difficult than it was. One factor is that everything, and it's brother, stuns. Another is that DPS classes (just like us) are still learning their new abilities, and how they interact with others. The DPSers who are used to just raining down death are still doing so... and I find it [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] near impossible to keep aggro from a determined Wizard or Warlock, even using all 4 of the taunts/abilities with taunts listed above. On top of that, the AE is a true non-encounter AE which means it's useless if there are any non-aggro mobs about (such as fighting in Maj'Dul).I can hold aggro, as long as I can use all my taunts. And if I am stunned, I can only use one, and chances are, I've already fired it off as part of my pull routine (which I had to start doing to have any chance of holding aggro from the Wizzies/Warlocks).. so once stunned, I just have to hope for the best. So, that Vandium I found is going to a taunt, and my 54 Master II is going to the AE taunt.--Z
