allay?

i was offtankin today as a lvl 23 gaurd, and when i would cast this or stand firm on the MT, there would be no change at all in his avoidance, the are both listed as +20% avoidance, is it just an inspect bug? or do they do nothing?

He could have been at his avoidance cap, at which point there is no more you can do for him. The thing is that allay, sentinel and the others like it are actually meant to be cast on mages and scouts and priests to protect them when they have aggro. A ludicrous thing because they shouldnt be getting aggro in the first place except for the random add and even that might hit them only a couple of times. The buffs might be nice if they had a 10 minute duration and were oriented to the group rather than target. However, with a 2.5 minute duration and a 20 seconds to stack them all on and the very limited concentration we have, they are mostly useless.

donno if he was capped (at about 59% avoidance at lvl 25) but it was a pain recastin them, was just tryin to help a little more than my pathetic dps i was pushin out.
