Hey, there.

I'm a L24 ubergnome wizard on Unrest.  I was with two groups yesterday and each had one tank.  The first tank was a level 23 paladin.  The second tank was a 25 guardian.  I would continually draw aggro for using my regular casting order (DoT, nuke, nuke, nuke, nuke, nuke, ministration spell, ).  I died four times because of that.

Now, I've never had this problem before.  Did SoE change how hate works or did the tanks just suck?

It could just be that you found yourself a bad tank, if you are all assisting the same person and not starting to nuke to early then maybe your tank isnt taunting enough. I have yet to find another player around my level that can get agro off of me if they give me a few seconds to lay down the taunts when I pull and assist the MA correctly.

Beware the AFK auto player. Since you can see the power lvl of a player it can be pretty obvious if someone is not using any powers ie. taunt anger etc. Do you have adept1 or better spells? Is your tank still using App1s? Zamice 16 War

No it is wizard trust me. It is VERY hard to keep agro post 24 when you have wizards in the group. Particularly at the very beginning and end of the fight.Try slowing down your nuking and dont start as early. Let the tank do shout /HTL etc. before dumping.

He stands in a robe and waggles his fingers - Offcourse he is a fool. :smileyvery-happy:

However, you didn't do anything wrong per se.
Your timing might be bad .. ie. you started a bit too early.
And in mid twenties, Wizards starts doing a *lot* more damage than the Tank, than on the earlier levels.
As had been said ... is he still using Apprentice I Taunts ?

Oh, and the tank could indeed be a total fool and not use taunt.
Yes, I just said "not use taunt" ... don't believe me ?
Oh then, if you meet a bad tank start a HO Wheel that requires a Taunt (looks like a horn) and see how long until the horn is triggered.
That's a good indication if the Tank is actually using it.
Most tanks *do* use Taunt vigoriously though.

4 times seems like a lot. When I see a melee or mage get aggro, I always tell them not to unleash their powerful attack till the mob is half way dead and I have a lot of hate built up. When the DD start of an attack with a 800 damage fireball, there's not much a tank can do to draw back aggro.
