![]() Before I ask, I admit I'm a pretty rubbish gamer so... Try as I might, I cannot beat the threesome (Prime Sorcerer Mardonn, Arch-Priest Ariorb, and Xerxis), let alone Tigloth. I'm avoiding the orange circle of death thingy but I'm creamed every time. I'm sure there's a tactic to this but I can't see it. I'm doing this molo too and this stage has me flumoxed. Anyone have any advice, please? |

![]() Well I am doing the advanced solo 4 times / day ( takes about 10 minutes / run ) with 92 defiler / 92 troub / 92 assassin / 91 conj. The last 3 all use an inq merc to keep them up. The defiler soloes the whole thing easily. Each does does it in a different way playing to their class strengths and weaknesses. With the Mardonn trio I always start killing the healer, then the other one and finally the main named. The defiler is the only one who can take a beating, with the others I aim for high damage as quickly as possible. Tthe dragon himself is very easy. All I do is run circles around him with my defiler and troub and cast mainly dots, while avoiding the orbs he spawns. The assassin kills him in 3-4 seconds flat and the conj kills him in like 6 seconds, so i don't even bother moving, just start attacking. You don't say what class you are ( Ok i just saw the dirge so you might need to do some running around while whacking away with autoattacks / arrows and dots ) but the same tactic apply, if you do slow dps but can take a beating do like my defiler. If you can do high damage, just whack them quickly. All of them have WL / Skyshrine Gear in various amounts so nothing spectacular. The assassin has really bad gear, only has like 130% potency and CB but still does massive damage quickly. |

If i were you I'd take a healer merc, you need heals and the tank mercs are pretty bad. My inq merc even uses Verdict and he actually saved the day for me once when i wasn't paying attention and died to the dragon, but the inq finished him off lol. |

![]() I always kill the sorcerer first, then the priest, then the last guy. I park my merc back from where I start the fight and pull the sorcerer. Once the "circle of death thingy" has been cast, I back out of it towards my merc and then send him in. This prevents the merc from being killed by that spell. With Tigloth, I get tucked in somewhere that prevents me from being thrown all around. Make use of the item that drops in the solo zones that causes 30% reduction in health to the mob. I have never used the "healing" ones on myself so I don't know if they are on the same timer as the reduction in health item. These are just suggestions though, and they are what works for me. Hopefully you can find what works for you. |

I agree.. a healer merc would be more beneficial to you. I use the inquis merc on my dirge and we get through it ok. |

![]() If you want to speed things up, you don't need to kill all the mobs. I start on the left hand side going north all the way, then turn right and kill all the names until I get to the upper corner where that droag boss is. Simply kill the mobs around the dragon spawn you don't get kbed into a group and that's all you need killed. |

Clearing all of the mobs makes it easier to find the shinies though, and the trash does drop clicky items that are useful as well as some vendor loot that sells for quite a bit. |

![]() Use the inquisitor rat merc. Be sure to order him to attack once engaged. Beat the snot out of the mage right away, then focus on the healer. If the healer keeps healing himself, beat down Xerxis a bit until you get the red text about watching his health, then switch to the priest and beat him down. If he still heals himself, tab back and forth even burning. The priest will heal Xerxis over himself. Tigloth- park your merc by someplace you can corner yourself. Set him to no follow no defend for both you and himself. Open the fight with an orange clicky nuke and drag him back to your merc and corner yourself. DPS Tigloth down. If you have another orange clicky, toss it in as soon as it's up again. I believe the mana and heal gems are on the same timer, but the orange nuke is on a seperate one. |

![]() Inquisitor merc (if needed) instead of berserker merc and sonic barrier are your friends! Also veil of notes in heroic tree can help a lot! |

![]() Could someone explain how the loot works for Tigloth re: the chest armor drops. Are they included as separate loot within the exquisite chest that drops with an 'Endless Goodies crate' or is it simply the fact you get two 'Endless Goodies' crates increasing your chances of getting one via that way. Thanks! |

As far as I can tell, it's just a 2nd chest on the same table. Only one person gets it too (in case you duo with someone). ...and apparently the loot table is not a very big one. After a couple of weeks I've quit running it. Not much point anymore. No faction. The coin would be pretty good if the merc didn't eat half. |

I think what you are doing wrong is running out of the orange circle, at one time it was imperative that you do so, but a good 4+ second reaction time with a resounding gong sound, screen effects flashy enough to give a ritalin dosed child a seizure and a huge red wall of text were not enough for so many to get the point. They removed the detrimental effects from this and it now gives you a god mode buff if you just stand still. Seriously though, I would kill the sorcerer or the healer first. I still don't move for the circle anymore it kinda tickles.

it made me sad when they nerfed these encounters down, the script made them fun. after you kill the wiz you dont even have to burn the other 2 down evenly anymore, the healer dont heal the other mob hardly at all anymore =( imho they made it to easy. to the OP - kill the right one first he's a wiz and puts out most of the damage for the encounter , then i always kill the healer wich is the one that was on the left, then the last one. and yeah if your not a healer class and are solo you want a healer merc. |

I may have to eat my words about this since will be going to try it later on some toons :p That said, however, I believe staying in the circle is more dependent on the class/gear, player etc etc that may let you stay in for that orange circle chaos. For example... I have a few toons raid geared, I play those a lot (raid, quest, group etc. so I know them better) those I can stay in. I have some that are heroic geared toons those are a crap shoot on whether they survive it or not :p and then there are the quested gear, random heirloom hand-me down geared toons... those I'm just pitiful at getting them to surive through the yellow circle bombs, and I make sure to get my behind out of that circle. Like I said, I may have to eat my words later today when I go try it again and hold my ground in the circle :p |

Yeah, that's what I don't like about the quest. My main toons don't really have a problem with the quest. They go in, knock it out, and are done. But the rewards are not targetted for them. I pass them down to the alts that are lagging behind gearwise. Now those same alts struggle when they try to do it. It was a catch-22. So I'm glad they toned it down. My thoughts:* I like the scripts. * The encounters do need to be designed around toons with lesser gear. * It needs to take into account the various classes that are going to be solo. * The loot ideally needs to be "no trade", but it also needs to be smart loot. I honestly get tired of the whining from raid geared when SOE retunes a quest that wasn't designed for them anyway. * Add more pieces of gear to the table. Personally I'd rather run this once a day than go through WL quest series. Always nice to have options. |

The point I was trying to make was this should be an instant death, you don't move, you die. That was how it was during beta, but the whining and crying won out and now for say the upper 60% (in terms of gear) can simply ignore the Red text warning which comes with a resounding chime that tells you something is up, and a clearly drawn out circle of destruction. This was not enough info for some to get the message to get out, and when they died instead of trying again immedately turned to the forums and said "wah wah wah, this hits too hard it shouldn't just kill me like that." "There is not enough time" (bull), "I don't know what to do, you need to do something that lets me know I need to move" (really these needed to just find an easier game, but no need to bother now it is already here)

Ah you see! sometimes I need a pan or something over my head to see a point being made (not being funny, just totally missed your point), because I, all along, have assumed that it was still the way it was in beta O.o and btw as to me eating my words, well I was too chicken to stay in, I just can't resist moving when I'm being warned to move! |
