Hello,

yesterday I made a fresh win7 installtion on my pc which used to run win vista.

To save download times, i backed up my eq2 installation including all UI pieces and settings (profit UI).

The game seems to run fine (and btw with much more dps). However, whenever i try to open webpages in the in game browser it tells me, msvcr71.dll is missing. The browser still works, also the game doesnt crash but i have to click away several little error windows first before i can continue.

I checked, the file does exist in the game folder.

I would appreciate any idea what i could do to solve the problem.

I've been getting this same issue. I'm going to try to find a fix for it, even if its just a work around. I'll post the details if I get it fixed.

Check for the file in your legends of norrath folder underneath the eq2 folder. If it is present copy it to your eq2 folder and the error should cease.

Thanks for the nice little tip but, anothe rproblem arises whenever I copy that file over. I start crashing while creating entities. Anyone else having that issue?
