I wanted to check in with AB and Nagafen players to see how the server performance improvements have been going and find out if you've had any issues in the past few weeks related to server-side lag.

I've seen a little bit of server-side lag creep back in cases (over the long weekend for example, when we had lots of folks on) but it's still a lot better than it was before. The worst I saw was maybe 1/3 second delays on casting, compared to multiple second delays at worst back before the upgrade.

Haven't really noticed it get any worse.  Client-side issues in Underfoot and elsewhere can be problematic, but as far as server-side stuff goes it still seems great.  I still see what seems like a tiny bit of command lag from time to time, but I was noticing that even right after the upgrade.

On AB:

Raid lag: I have almost no casting lag anymore these days.  At least never enough for me to even notice it.  It is currently pleasurable to play.

Broker: sometimes a slight lag when putting stuff up for sale, never more than a second or two.

Zoning: can get stuck at Receiving Zone Info for 10-20 secs on raid zones sometimes, but usually zoning is fast enough.

Possibly unrelated, but I have seen a few more LDs from my raid force in the last week or two.  Could be just their ISP however (I know one of them is having wireless issues, so the problem is on his side).

A couple times we've found our raid hanging at "Receiving Zone Info" while zoning into a raid zone and there have been a few minor hiccups during warfields and primetime. It's still 32738 times better than it used to be.

It is still really good. Like some have mentioned, we sometimes get the RZI but other than that, no lag except for inside Underfoot Depths.

The only lag I'm feeling these days are Receiving Zone info (rarely) Loading UI resources (frequently, but only with high level toons, which is odd and feels like it's buff related,) and while using the Ranger ability 'Coverage', which lags enough that it's practically unusable.

Otherwise, AB hasn't been lagging an ounce.

If there's been an increase in lag it's been small enough where it's hard to tell, so it's still pretty amazing. Contesteds during peak hours can have very slight lag, but it's still infinitely better than it ever was even in the dead of night before.

Lag seems to be a lot better.

I'm getting odd random disconnects while playing though. I -would- say it's my net connection, except me and my g/f can be two-boxing (so 4 accounts) and 1 character will randomly go linkdead. It isn't always when zoning either... can literally be mid-fight.

So far so good. Compared to how horrible it used to be, it's a joy these days to raid without having to wait 2-3 seconds on server lag.

No raid lag at all that I notice. Coverage like mentioned before is lagging out and we still have issues with /autoattack 2 macros lagging and not working most of the time when attached to melee CA's.

Huge improvement though to how it use to be.

Well the lag was fine until about 15 mins ago, at which point everyone on every server got massive lag...

Will the remainder of the servers get to experience gameplay like Antonio Bayle and Nagafen before Velious? Is there an anticipated timeline for a decision regarding mergers and/or additional new hardware?

Having played a bit of Nagafen, its disheartening to return to the stark reality of my main server during peak hours.

One thing I have noticed since starting a toon on AB is the really bad crafting lag.  Seems much of the time, if I hit 2 arts in succession, the second one hits, but not the first one, which leads to missed counters.  The other server I am on had no such lag.  Normal combat lag is not at all noticable tho.

I am also curious to know when crushbone is going to get an upgrade.

Pulling a contested with less than 40 people in zone and lagging out is just getting ridiculous.

I'm still getting some bad lag in Greater Faydark and on the docks of Gorowyn, but that might just be me.
